wow very nice sirloin steak and great fish and chips i have been to this restaurant long time ago but can review now .i really enjoyed my meals as we were coming from Hamilton we stopped at this restaurant and tried the food .i would say very reasonable price and i really personally say thanks and greetings to that lady chef who really gave us a warm hospitality and courtesy i think her name is chef paula !!!i appreciate her courtesy for my table and friends and she cooked my steak too i give 5 star. we really enjoyed and we will again will head this restaurant soon. must recommend this place.
Love this place. For a long time this was our go to for dinner. After travelling to the Waikato and Bay of Plenty for work we just wanted a nice, affordable meal on our way home and it was often here that we stopped. Never once have we been disappointed in service or meal standard. We haven't been for a while but looking forward to coming back and trying out the new menu.

Staff: Waitress met us at the door, I had given our name we had booked under and I apologised as I had an extra guest join us for dinner, she quickly allocated a different table and assured me this was not a problem. Very friendly waitresses and a great informative chef who recommended food to suit my taste buds.
Food: I had the seafood chowder for the entree', I found this very flavorsome, with chunks of fish, scallops. prawns (thanks again chef for the recommendation). I had a selection of meats on the hot stone cooker, salad, and vegetables. What a fantastic opportunity to cook my own meats to my satisfaction. Another member of our table had the garlic cob loaf for entree and chicken for main, she raved about how tasty and succulent the chicken had been. We also had a child at our table who was very appreciative of the pizza meal, rolling his eyes with delight,
Cost: Awesome value for money, prices were very cheap for the experience.
Ambience: Great atmosphere, older music in the background, our table and the table next to us exchanged small conversations about how nice the meals were presented and tasted.Well done Scoundrels and Seadogs I would definitely return and eat here when I return to Tuakau.
Came here with friends on Saturday Night for dinner. There was 7 of us in total. From start to finish the staff never stopped, we all ordered a variety of mains from curry, burger, trio of fish, squid, prawn and scallop skewer, lamb shank and i ordered fish with vietnamese salad. We waited over an hour but knew staff not exactly sitting idle so it was fine. But the meals were well worth waiting for..... Fantastic..Excellent prices too. The decor is very sea shanty and really quirky with a great atmosphere. Defin8ly looking forward to going back in couple of weeks again. We all thoroughly loved what we ate

my favs are the seafood chowder, the burgers and of course the stonegrill (the wines not bad either)
First time visiting and we enjoyed it, while waiting for our food there's a lot to look around at interesting things all over the walls even on the roof. On our visit it was quiet, not to busy there are seperate areas to cater for different settings it's a relaxed feeling, staff were friendly Anne was very welcoming. Food was well worth the wait Tasty,Hot,generous portions Sauce on the side :) can't complain about the prices definitely recommend.

Went here on a Friday night, seemed relatively busy but we were sat right away. Nice atmosphere and waitresses friendly :)
Loaf for entree nice and tasty
I had chicken burger for Main, HUGE and tasty, very happy with my meal
Had a sundae for desert which was nice but nothing too fancy

Have dined here twice in the space of a month with one other.Upon entering (on a Friday night), it's a bit drafty with the door down the back of the restaurant opening & closing.. This was quite unpleasant the whole time we were there. There were 2 high school aged waitress' + 1 older staff member who took care of serving customers at the till & delegating the 2 younger staff.. All 3 could do with more staff training, especially in regards to customer service, using manner's and asking customers for their order.. However, the 2nd visit (A Thursday night) was a lot better, we were seated away from the door and the waitress on that night was very attentive & professional.The food was great both times, I'd ordered the Surf 'n Turf.The whole idea of grilling your steak on your own hot plate brought out to you is just great! Also brought out with a kebab of scallop & prawns which you also had to cook.If you manage to finish it all, I'd definitely recommend the Chocolate brownie!Still a good place to come, especially for the food, but take a jacket or something warm to wear just in case you're seated near the door.

I was pretty impressed with this place. We went on a Tuesday night and it was full... a good sign! The meals were all huuuge and very good value for money. Out the rear of the dining room there is a big courtyard, a pool hall and bar with pokies. Its much bigger than it looks! I can't wait to go again!

We took a party of 9 here for a birthday dinner last night and had a cracking meal. My first time cooking a steak on a hot stone on the table. I admit I was concerned that id have to eat it quick before it cooked too much ,but I was wrong, the meat was first class, I enjoyed slicing it and cooking it to my liking. The bonus for me was having the food hot. I dislike having a meal delivered to the table luke warm.
Fabulous evening, very attentive staff, everyone made us feel welcome,i will definitely be recommending it to others.

Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. The prices are very reasonable which means we can afford to go more often. Glad we discovered it, we now have a lovely place for a night out that won't cost the earth but delivers quality food.

Lovely little place! ..The Stonegrill option is such a X Factor for this little restaurant. If you havent tried it yet I would totally recommend!

Been several times over the last few months and must say that the food is amazing. Very reasonable prices and helpful staff. It would be wise to book a table in advance if you have a large party because the place is quite busy on the times we have gone.
This is now our place to go for a good meal out. Highly recommended!
Highly recommend, excellent service, great food and extremely affordable, can't wait to go again....Staff were extremely welcoming towards my family, making sure the table and seating were to our liking. Not only did they make sure that was okay, they made sure our meal was top notch as well...Steak beautiful..
Fantastic food, excellent value, extremely affordable family dining, superb service, could not recommend highly enough, try it and you will see what I mean!!! I wish I could have fitted in a desert as it was I left with 2 doggy bags after having the garlic cobb (practically half a bakery in itself) and the mixed grill, only managed to eat one hot chip and couldn't start the lovely crisp fresh salad (next day it was still yummy) and ate about 3/4 of the meat, what a feast!!!
Went with the family and loved everything about it. Had the stonegrill mixed grill and enjoyed the food and service. Have to go back for dessert as was to full. Great value for money and will go again.
