Amazing restaurant. This is a must visit if you are in the area or staying in Taupo. Staff are very friendly and while it can be busy our table was regularly visited and drinks refreshed. Chef knows what they are doing as was able to accommodate our parties dietary requirements.
The food was delicious and they treated us real nicely. The waitress was very kind and explained us what the plates were for us being foreigners and have a lot of patience with us. We enjoyed it a lot!!!
Seriously good food! Highly recommend Beetroot & goat cheese salad, pork dumplings in chili oil broth and cumin spices lamb meatballs. So delicious that we’re going back tomorrow to try some things we couldn’t fit in tonight! Lovely, highly attentive staff. Great wine and beer selection. Nice outdoo
The Hare & Copper is an amazing establishment. Delicious food with carefully arranged flavour and presentation. We had the Popcorn Chicken, Beetroot Salad and Sauteed Prawns - all incredible. The sauteed prawns were a particular highlight. The sauce was so good we drank the whole bowl 😍

Me and my mom and dad really enjoyed the food such lovely staff as well they know how to make their customers eyes light up with delicious food and drinks we were in NZ for a holiday from Australia and I highly recommend going there for lunch or dinner xxxx

We really enjoyed our meal here ! This place is so well located with a beautiful terrace next to a garden with giant chess games, it’s really calm and peaceful !
