Stopped in for a meal and a pint on the way home. Nice pub, fire, really good food. The Fish and Chips was quality and generous.

Great friendly fast service. It was a busy Sunday avo. We just stopped for a quick beer on our way home to Whanga. It was really loud inside with chatter but all good. The pub looks fantastic inside too. A lot has been refurbished since I went last time. Amazingly neat old ceiling fan system.

Stopped to taste the amazing gin they distill here and purchased some. Staff very friendly and location great. Food looked amazing but we didn't eat. We arrived on the train and had just enough yime to walk here, have a gin and get back to the station for our return train.

Good old traditional local with great historic ambience. Friendly staff with good craft beer options available and a must visit if you're into Gin!! Main downside is that it's rather noisy if you want sit outside because of the heavy goods traffic on adjacent SH2. Very good food too.

Been going to the Kino since the late 70s, always a great pub to go to for a beer, something to eat and a game of pool. Excellent service from the bar staff and good selection from the menu.

Pet friendly spot to stop for a bite to eat while biking or walking. Small menu of bistro offerings, a bit pricey but generous sizes. Worth stopping if you're heading through the gorge to Waihi.

Past this place hundreds of times over the years. Called in for a pub lunch and wasn't disappointed. Good menu options. Burgers were great and our partners enjoyed the pizza's. We'll be back again.
