Went with little to no expectations about the food and service however, pleasantly surprised with how good the service was! The staff was very pleasant, cheerful and nothing was too much trouble for her. She went out of her way to make meals gluten free and checked for any dietary restrictions. The
In general, we liked the place. Staff was friendly, cakes tasted good. The only thing we were surprised about was the way they serve coffee - cocoa and sugar were basically all over the plate and it didn't look good in our opinion.

Lovely place. Nice campsite but the sites are on very steep slopes for a campsite. Also powered sites are rock hard so no tent camping with power unless you have a big RV. Great asset to Curio Bay! The new cafe and interactive museum are an asset to Curio Bay! Great to finally have a restaurant there and they're also planning guided walks etc. I had the seafood chowder and it was delicious!

This is one of the few places in the world you could explore a petrified forest, swim with dolphins, see penguins, camp and enjoy some top notch food/coffee within walking distance of each other! The pizza was especially good. We'll be back!

An Oasis of the Catlins for great coffee and a good bite to eat! Lunch is available until 2pm and we made it just in time. The staff are friendly and accommodating. If you are down south in NZ, this is a must stop!
