Amazing food, huge meals at great prices. Also the whole place is amazing , lots of interesting museum pieces to look at and also a giftshop. Staff are happy and helpful.

Hard to know where to start. An amazing place with great staff, an amazing selection of arts and craft plus archeological and paleontological gems. We purchased 2 megalodon teeth. A very nice breakfast.
Wonderfull hospitality from the new owners. Such an interesting place now with a great cafe attached.Reasonbly priced rooms and real big country styled meals.All food created on premises and really nice selection to choose from in cafe.
Fantastic , the food is absolutely delicious and the service is par excellence ! I think Waimate is going to have to work pretty hard to beat the Queens lodge at the best lunch in town , I recommend the chicken and the seafood basket

Really awesome lunch options great for any budget, ask for the special tour of fossils its awesome for kids!, there's taxidermy, crystals, lots to look at!
What a cool and interesting place with more to offer. Artifacts and interesting items everywhere, market days, good coffee and food and such friendly staff. Waimate has a real treasure here.
