Great bar with a decent selection of their own brewed beers. Great selection of freshly baked pizzas. We opted for the pizza bread topped with cheese and caramelised onion as a snack.
It's a pleasant location to relax and chat.
We had the best pizza and ribs here on a rainy travel day. We sat near fireplace which was cozy. The whole place had nice old building cozy feel and the service was so good. Definitely recommend to visit here!
Great service and atmosphere as always!! Friendly and accommodating staff. We had the Chicken Supreme (amazing), Globetrotter pizza, Choc banana dessert pizza, white chocolate daiquiri and a scotch ale. All absolutely delicious, packed with flavour. We also purchased some of their beer brewed on site which I look forward to trying.

1)the ribeye which was delicious,
2)squid deep fried - amazing could have been a bit more spicier
3) Pizza - as known for the cafe , was great .

McLeod’s is a must visit in Waipu. The staff are amazing. They are super friendly (greeting everyone as they arrive and thanking them when they leave). The food comes out really fast and is delicious. They have tons of tasty beers to choose from as well. A great spot with a really nice atmosphere.
Been there many times over the years and again on Sunday. Staff extremely friendly, pizzas are always great (I'm a sucker for the Workhorse) and an awesome variety of top quality brews. The latest Liquid Hop APA and 802 were my picks. Cheers guys
Best beer in NZ! Great pizzas and nachos too. It gets really busy during the holiday season but staff is always friendly and accommodating. Best place to meet locals and get tips about places to visit in the area.
Must have experience if you are in the area near Waipu or Mangawhai. Pizza s and food to die for. Match that with your choice of award winning beers. Will never feel disappointed. Awesome place for craft beer lovers and all.
We went in today for our 11th year wedding anniversary. Very happy with the food, service & polite friendly staff. Thanks guys really made our day 😊😊
Even in a Waipu-wide powercut, their customer service was amazing! (as was their food!) Our pizzas came nice and hot, and (according to those of us in our group who got beer) the beer was really good. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. 10/10, will come again!
Absolutely fabulous place to visit, much charm and great craft beers to sample, you wont be disappointed. Add an extensive beautifully prepared menu and service that puts many others to shame and you have McLeods. At the time of our visit they were ranked 2nd best brewery in New Zealand and had the best beer award. What else can you say, highly recommended.
First things first, Mclouds beers are hands down the best in the region, dare I say best in NZ!?
Cozy place with relaxed atmosphere. The food is comfortable, basic and yet never disappoints.
We will be back the next time we're driving through.
Great pizza and great beer. The Globetrotter pizza with lashings of gorgeous bacon and venison sausage is sensational. And washing it down with one of the numerous brews on offer from NZ's champion medium sized brewery (Mcleods) makes this place a must do on any trip that is to, near, or simply goes past Waipu.
Great place to eat! Fun old school decor. Be sure to check out the mirrors before the entrance to the ladies toilets to see infinity of yourself. Ladies toilets were cutely decorated as well with retro wall paper and a funky lamp. We had pizzas, nachos and Fush & Chups (yeah that’s what it’s called! Haha) and a couple of ciders which were also good.
The Pizza Barn is always a great experience, friendly service, tasty food, fun atmosphere. Thanks team 😌

Over Summer, I don't think they take bookings, so make sure you give yourself a little buffer if it's busy. Enjoy!

Great pizza! Can be verrrrry busy so be prepared to wait - you can order drinks and hope to find a seat while you wait. Friendly staff but could use a few more at the bar etc.
