I recently enjoyed a delightful breakfast at Hatuma Cafe in Waipukurau. The Eggs Benedict with Salmon was a standout, and despite not being a fan of raw fish, the staff kindly cooked it for me. It turned out to be a wonderful choice! The Creamy Mushrooms on toasted ciabatta were a creamy delight, complemented by baby spinach, a poached egg, and bacon. The friendly staff's exceptional service added to the experience. A must-visit spot while traveling through Waipukurau.

Totally loved this cafe. We have passed it several times but never stopped. Will definitely go again when over that way. Heaps of gluten free food which was great for us & the coffee was delicious too. An amazing play area for the kids & great outdoor dining. Something for everyone here 😊

This place is buzzing! Such a good atmosphere, great for the kids, a real family vibe. Food is top notch really impressed with our steak sandwich and fish and chips and a very reasonable price. The girls out the front were just awesome and it's the best pit stop especially for families with the playground out the back. See you again!

We had a great lunch here. The service was awesome, friendly, attentive staff. The food was all really tasty, either out of the cabinet or off the menu. A nice selection and reasonably pricing. Highly recommend.

Great dining experience, food is well presented, price is reasonable, area is spacious and the most important is that the staff are oh so friendly and accommodating! (we booked ourselves earlier as we are a large group needing a space). For anyone planning to have a breakfast or lunch or just a coffee break, I definitely suggest for you to comen, dine in and support this place!☕

Dog friendly. Kid friendly: Outdoor playground. Seating options: Outside, deck & indoor. Big selection of cabinet food, daily specials & a fixed menu. Lots of off street parking with a second carpark down drive behind cafe. Friendly staff. Right on State Highway 2 heading out of Waipukurau towards Wellington.

Great stop off for a family lunch. Food was nice and toilets were ok. Amazing real fruit ice cream! Has a playground with old McDonald's playground equipment and a trampoline which was enjoyed by my toddler. Has a highchair but it wasn't good at restraining our toddler as it didn't have any safety straps. So she kept trying to climb out. Would be great if there was a better highchair!

Oct2021 Coffee muffin stop on the way home. Outside area is devine. Lovely staff. Muffin light and tasty. Coffee creamy warm and weak. (smokey old shop fat smells coming from the kitchen.. 😬..) Filled the inside cafe.. The cabinets did have good looking fresh food. Thanks for your time. Bonus for families with young ones

Great find! Stopped on our way to Napier and we left full and happy. Flat white and latte were made strong the way we like, and we enjoyed a salmon + cream cheese and chorizo, bacon + halloumi crepe. Loved the crepe idea, something different then your standard egg cup or quiche. One word of warning though, the cream cheese was molten hot when I tucked in to my crepe, best give them a minute to cool down! Cafe was buzzing but service prompt and lots of seating available. Didn’t have room for a real fruit ice cream but several workers came in, must be regulars, and ordered 🍦 for takeaway and they looked divine, and only $5! Will plan to travel this way again so we can indulge in other treats from Hatuma ❤️ Free wifi, clean toilets and no steps to enter cafe.
