Nick's cafe is one of my favorites. I tried their "boil up benne" and it was to die for. The taste exceeded my expectations. The customer service is lovely. I travel from Manurewa to come to this cafe. Highly recommend!
This cafe offers amazing service and food. They cater to everyone’s needs and I like how it offers different portions for a few of the dishes- like Eggs Benedict. A few more vegan/vegetarian options would be nice though.

Amazing food! Had the bacon stack and iced mocha, beautiful food that I would highly recommend! Super fresh avocado and tomato, everything had beautiful flavour 👌🏼 staff were super friendly too which is always nice 😊
Such a gem! I LOVE that you can choose from three different potion sizes for quite a few of the menu items (single, double and triple) - such a great idea! I had the single bacon stack ($10) which came with one each of bacon, potato hash, avo (which they substituted for wilted spinach) a perfectly poached egg and hollandaise - I choose not to have the tomato. Not only is that an extremely cheap breakfast it for what you get, it was also super fresh, satisfying and delicious with great service. And they seriously do make the BEST iced coffees! Pretty much considering moving to waiuku just to be closer to this cafe.
Had breakfast here and ordered the Farmers breakfast. I'm on a low carb high fat lifestyle and the staff kindly took my order with alterations to suit with no fuss at all. The meal arrived in a timely manner and was a decent portion and simply divine. A genuine big breakfast in a comfy cafe with friendly staff. If I'm back in that area I'm going back!
Been around for a few years now, Nick's cafe is always worth a stop when you're in the area. When I was in high school I used to live off the pancake stack with bacon, banana, maple syrup and ice cream, and the Mocha thickshakes are absolutely divine. Food is always fresh, well portioned and tastefully presented, at very compeditive pricing too.
An honorable mention goes out to the coffee and cabinet food, great when you're on the go. Can't wait to come back and try whatever Nick's latest creation will be!
Wicked experience, from the start to finish! Having a chat with 'Nick' himself, to getting a top up of our thickshake (we must've been special) to an awesome feed of pancakes and Eggs Benedict! Will definitely be coming back here for sure! Can't wait to try and smash a triple stack of pancakes with all the trimmings!
Love this place, the food is fantastic. Today I had the veg stack, so fresh, it came out looking like it had been prepared for a photo shoot. And all out of that tiny kitchen. Well done Nick to you and your team.
Found Nick's Cafe a couple of months back and we can't stop coming. The food is excellent, fresh and plentiful and always delivered quickly with coffee to match. Corn fritters are a must, especially when you add the crispy bacon. And I don't know how you get your pancakes with blueberries so fat yet so light and fluffy! Atmosphere, food and staff AAA+

Amazing place to go! I go here every morning and some how the food bets better and better! Amazing place! Would recommend! The hot chocolates are chocolatie the food is delicous and the nick and the other employees are extremely nice and funny. Would be a normal place to go!
Just finished an epic breakfast. I had the Farmers Daughter with Mushrooms and hubby had the Farmers Breakfast - everything was beautiful. Bacon was a proper cut and the mushrooms were fantastic (most of the time cafes get these wrong - not here!) Eggs were perfectly poached and the hollandaise was yummy. We also had the chocolate thickshake and a salted caramel thickshake and they were proper thickshakes! Flavour was next level. Staff are friendly and full of personality. Will definately be back!! Gonna try a stack next time!
This is a busy little cafe, staff are very friendly, quick service, consistent coffee, meals which will leave you loosening your belt and contemplating what you will try on the menu next time. Thumbs up.

It is the best cafe in Waiuku I only go to this one know continually good food and good atmosphere. If in Waiuku and looking for food I'd definitely recommend Nick's
Was hard to find a nice cafe that does gluten free, and friends and I wanted to go for lunch...got word that Nick does gluten free... so had to try it... and today was just perfect... and so was our lunch.... good size, good prize... and amazing boss... All up I enjoyed it and so did the girls....

A popular haunt for the teachers from the college across the road, Nick's Cafe does a brisk trade on the bottom floor of a bustling medical centre. There's nothing clinical about the decor however, with a dominant theme of black and grey - a nod perhaps to the black sand beaches and steel manufacturing that brings people to the area. Large black leather couches are a popular seating area but plenty of other seating is available both inside and out.
A broad range of both cabinet and menu food is available. On this occasion my friend selected the corn fritters (a very popular choice) and I went for a gluten-free caramel slice. Both were delightful, however on a previous visit I had sampled their rocky road slice and that remains my number 1 recommendation. I also ordered their "massive" hot chocolate and was rewarded with a mug the size of my head - this made me very happy. The only downside I can see is that the cabinet food seems to disappear very quickly; this may not be an issue outside of school hours.
Kid-friendly? Definitely. Two high chairs, a play fort, multiple colouring books and staff that do not mind if your baby squeals and squawks. The one downside is that there is no door or gate in the passageway to the medical centre so you may have to watch little escape artists.
Definitely a great place to stop on the way out to the Awhitu peninsula or Kariotahi beach.
My colleagues and I from Kariaotahi Surf Club go to Nick's regularly for breakfast. Always fantastic food, friendly staff and great service.
The meals are a great size and keep us going all day, just what we need for a big day on the beach. Highly recommend Nick's Cafe as THE cafe to visit in Waiuku.
Came in for a breakfast meal and was very pleased with the entire experience. The coffee was great and fast, the price for the meals was fair AND the size of the meals was great! Left feeling very full and very happy. Will definitely return, highly recommend the Farmer's Breakfast meal!
Been meaning to come here for a while and now wish I hadn't waited so long. Fantastic service and omg the food is awesome. Nick even skips around he is so happy to be here. Can't recommend it highly enough and even a play area for kids. Simply brilliant
In Waiuku for a family wedding. Searched for breakfast and up popped Nick's Cafe. Just off the main Street across the road from the College.
Must admit the tinted windows makes it look "Closed" but it wasn't and the reviews were all right!

We are over the moon finally a cafe that delivered on everything you could possible want. Five of us went a treat for Mother's Day.
Our orders were taken with a customer rapport that other places could only dream of. The food was fresh, delicious, our entire table was served at the same time and it was all hot. The owner Nick came out to check everything was great and it was !!!!
I have no hesitation in saying Nicks Cafe is the best place we have ever eaten! The food,drinks, price, service, clean facilities, easy parking, If you haven't tried Nicks you are missing out on an wonderful experience. They are in our opinion 2nd to none.
As newbies to Waiuku, my husband and I called in at the Health Centre this morning to organise the transfer of our medical records. We saw the sign for Nick's Cafe and although the outside didn't look very inviting, we decided to go in for a coffee and snack. What a lovely surprise. The cafe was light and airy and the staff (Nick and Kathy) were lovely, making us feel very welcome. We both ordered coffees and Salmon Bagels. The coffee was good and the salmon, cream cheese, beautifully sweet tomato (a whole tomato sliced!) were served with a small, fresh, well dressed salad.
We're definitely going back and would recommend anyone visiting the area to try Nick's.
Love the food. The staff need to pay a little more attention to the customer whilst serving them, rather then talking to her colleagues behind her. Finish with you customer first.
Nick's Cafe is the best cafe in Waiuku by far! Having been disappointed by so many others in Waiuku and Pukekohe, I am thrilled to have found this place! The service is fast and friendly, the food is exceptional (we had the Farmers Breakfast, Chili Corn Fritters and Nuggets and Fries for the kids) and there's plenty of it, the coffee is great - and the free fluffies for the kids (with lashings of chocolate sauce) made for an all-round enjoyable experience! The outside play area for the kids just topped it off! In short, it's awesome value for money and we will very definitely return!

Can not disagree more with AndreaL's comments... Our children love the fluffly's and the service at Nick's.... Their favorite part is the choc syrup and their Speical treat.... They kids also love the way the lovely lady who makes them gives them a choc fish as well.... Thank you Nick's :-)

After trying all the cafes in Waiuku we gave up poor service long waits and so so food - then we found this gem!
The food is great & served fast nothing is a problem and coffee is good thick shakes even better i can recommend this enough to everyone.
We stumbled across this cafe while driving through the area and what a Gem we discovered. Without a doubt we will be back.... often!! Nick and his staff were delightful and offered suggestions and advice on what to order. The big breakfast was simply AWESOME and the sausages tasty beyond belief. Shame the local butcher who makes them was closed otherwise we would have bought some to take home. Having had bad experiences in the past I decided to chance the Thick-shake and kept my fingers crossed that it would not prove a disappointment. Wow, I got a THICK Shake that was simply heaven. Over-all a thumbs up from us and highly recommended to others who seek great food, brilliant friendly service, delicious coffee and a cozy atmosphere.

The farmers breakfast certainly lives up to its reputation and the coffee was great. My wife had the eggs bene and kids had the farmers daughter (nice little version of the big brekkie. )

We found this cafe in front of Waiuku College when we were unexpectedly driving around in the town looking for a cafe after 4pm. Nick the owner was really friendly and we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere very much. His coffee was very nice too. Had no chance to eat anything, but will try something next time!!

My boyfriend and I went here last Sunday after being consistently let down by the two other main Waiuku cafes.
It was really good. The owner was really nice and the food was really nice too. We ordered the pancake stack (steak hehe), bagels and eggs benedict.
The prices were very competitive also which is always good!
We will be going back there sometime soon to try more of the menu.
Amazing service and gorgeous food. There was only 1 guy working and 6 of us ordering this (Wednesday) morning but he did such an awesome job of getting our meals and drinks to us fast while maintaining an excellent quality. Will definitely be back next time we're in Waiuku!

I like Nick's Cafe. Their food is tasty, the coffee is great and the service is good. There is not a huge selection on the menu but what they do, they do well. A range of seating options with a couple sharing tables as well as smaller settings. A small outdoor area available for warmer weather.

Went here a couple days ago while waiting for a prescription from next door. Lovely staff. First hot chocolate I've had in years which has actually been hot! Most of the time cafes serve them warm. Beautiful drink with two marshmallows and a chocolate marshmallow. So a win in my books! Thank you for having us! Will be coming back :)

We selected Nick’s because of its high rating on Google and turned up half an hour before closing. In spite of this, they were happy to let us order from the cooked menu. Outstanding food, top ingredients, great coffee and friendly service. A little way out of the town centre - but only 2 min in the car and so worth it.
Worst coffee I've tasted in my life, they need to change beans and take a barista course.
this cafe is amazing!! it says on Google they close at 3 but when we arrived at 1:30 we found out they actually close at 2. Regardless of this, the staff were lovely and still served our group of 8 the most incredible meals. 10/10! 😊

The biggest fluffiest pancakes I've had in a long time. Plus the Mocha I had was the best Mocha I have ever had in my life, no exaggeration. Definitely worth a visit
Huge plate of pancakes. I left not requiring additional calories for the next month. Never wanted to eat pancakes again due to the value for money. Coffee was epic.
Wonderful Cafe. The food & coffee is great & the price is so reasonable. Service is excellent. Our young kids loved the play area. Our family has left Waiuku, but my kids still ask to go to Nick's!
