Sasanoki Japanese Kitchen - Wanaka - Photo album

Great Japanese restaurant, friendly staff and wonderful owner who served us authentic sashimi dinner. Very reasonable price, $28 for 12 piece of very fresh sashimi. I will come back anytime for another great meal.
Had the tonkatsu $29 and shoyu ramen $27. Great service and good food. On the pricy side for the portion size.
I really enjoyed the sashimi bento box. The quality and variety exceeded my expectations. Very friendly staff, and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommended.
Our first time to dine here, as a Japanese Restau lover I can say.. thumbs up to their Spicy Miso Ramen here...love the taste..
We had a delicious sashimi dish (salmon sashimi don), Japanese fried chicken and pork curry. Highly recommend this cute spot! Owner takes a lot of pride in the food.
Iโ€™hv been to Japan and itโ€™s taste exactly like Japan. Awesome dinner we had tonight.
Good but not great. They can do better in serving fresher, tastier food in a more aesthetically nice dining setting. Great people, clearly from Japan, just need to get to the level of quality that visitors in NZ expect, especially at the price point. You can do it!
So delicious ! I would come back again. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
Best friendly Japanese Restaurant in town
Delicious meal, the ramen was very nice ,we are too hungry, forgot take the photos
Loved it here, the gentleman serving us was very generous with his time which always makes the whole experience sweeter. We had ramen and a tasting tray of sake and we were not disappointed. Perfect for a chilly day!
What a great place for dinner. Very cosy seating, we had a very large group so had to wait for other patrons to leave so we could seat together. Reminds me of the small restaurants in Japan. Staff are very bubbly and can recommend great dishes and drinks to accompany them
Excellent Japan experience. The food was delicious and the hosts were super friendly. We loved the ambiance in this tiny restaurant, the big table was so cool and the decoration really puts the cherry on the cake.
Really authentic Japanese food run by a wonderful Japanese family. Lovely atmosphere, and deliciously refreshing food prepared with lots of love and care. Would highly recommend it! Extensive menu executed to perfection.
The moment we walked in, I knew we were in a restaurant that was the real deal. The menu is simple, yet offers enough variety to please most. Reading previous reviews, it seems that some people were expecting the top-end kaiseki experience, which is ridiculous. Was this really what they were expecti
