Had a fantastic time at Amigos. Food was next level, like a fiesta in my mouth. Cocktails? Legit. Staff? Super chill and friendly. If you're into awesome Mexican grub, good drinks, and a laid-back vibe, this spot's your jam.
Always an all-time favourite for when visiting Wānaka. A really energetic vibe. Great food, paired with awesome drinks and always excellent service. Taco Tuesdays is a must visit. We come here, time and time again, and it never disappoints, highly recommended.
Went here twice. It's always packed, I recommend making a booking early even if it's in the middle of the week - surprising.
The food was fantastic, I enjoyed the fish tacos which I had the first time.
Recommended for this place - grab a beer and finger food to share. Then order 4 random tacos each which will be enough.

tacos and quesadilla was really yummy. food was served hot, and wait time wasn’t long. they have a lunch special, prices were quite affordable. staff are really friendly and approachable. enjoyed my experience there! went down a second time again cos we really enjoyed the food and ambience there.
Food was great and plenty of options for gluten free and vegan. I’d recommend ordering a bunch of small tacos and seeing which ones you like.

Great spot for some delicious Mexican food if you are looking for a different vibe than the restaurants along the waterfront!
We ordered the fried chicken and baja fish taco as well as the fajitas - the fajitas were the highlight. The tacos were delicious also but in my opinion it’s slightly overpriced for what you get.
We also got a couple of drinks and they were really nice!
We had the quesadilla, nachos, a couple of tacos and tried all three frozen margs, all super tasty! Only bit of feedback was the nachos were a bit difficult to eat due to the bowl they came in (would be better served on a plate or bigger bowl). Pretty good value for money. I'd definitely come back when I visit again from Wellington 👌
Epic tacos - best in NZ, 3 make a perfect dinner, I like the beef brisket and the fish taco and you can’t really go wrong with anything else. Amazing food as always. Flawlessly leaving you full for reasonable prices and authentic meals. Weird atmosphere with our customer service, other than that, couldn’t recommend it more.

We love the amigos in Dunedin but this one was a fantastic experience - busy and our drinks came so fast. Our orders were taken fast and we were checked for more drinks during our meal. My partner ordered the chicken salad and I got the fried chicken tacos - my chicken was a little overdone but still good (not a fussy eater - so I don't usually send something back unless I really can't consume it).
Great spot. Only advice would be to train your waitresses to double check their customers' orders (ours got ours right but I wasn't certain he did at the time).

Great vegan options here! We had starters, mains and some cocktails and they were all delicious. Staff are very knowledgable about the vegan options and the guy who was serving us was really passionate and friendly. The biggest shame of this place is that we don't have time to go back.
Fresh and fast. We didn’t have to wait too long once we ordered our food. It’s also super affordable! Great ambience and that staff are nice. We ordered the calamari and Fried chicken for starters to share and then ordered a few tacos, which were so flavoursome and affordable. The sour sangria is delicious!!
