Great food and service. We had a large group but our all special requests were nicely and happily accommodated. Highly recommend. Great location as well.
Arrived and were told it was a 45min wait, but food came out after about 20mins. Very good service. Great food. Nice wine selection. Couldn't ask for a better dinner.
I was a new chef. Began a month ago.
I want to change in what customers have come across something bad.
I hope that the customers who come to dine. Would have been impressed.
Thailand with service and food that tastes great.
I went here alone and order 1 dish of pineapple seafood fried rice. Big portion, I finished half of dish and took away the rest. It’s better if you go many people, you can try more dishes. The food taste good, big prawn and many seafood in the plate. Staffs are friendly, fast service. Will come back to try other dishes.
Being Asians, we came to this restaurant for some Asian food during our road trip. The Tom yum soup was so good! We requested for more spicy and they delivered asian spicy level of tomyum - wiped the soup clean twice! (Giving a 5 star due to the soup) The crispy pork belly was normal in our opinion 😅
The food is excellent and really filling. Authentic Thai food with an explosion of flavours. So much choose you keep going back to try all the other dishes. Fantastic location and views.
Delicious Thai food, we ended up going to dinner here twice. We ordered appetizers and stir frys. The servers are friendly and our meals came out quickly. The stir frys were fresh and the meat was nice quality. This place also seem to be popular for takeaways with lots of people popping in for pickups. I liked the professional photos of the food on the visual menu. Very nice
We visited Wanaka for 4 days and enjoyed eating here so much the first time we returned for a second.
The staff that served us were very welcoming, warm and down to earth.
We had the Cashew Nut chicken and Green Curry with the green curry quite possibly the best curry I ever had.
Thanks Thai Siam!
Summer 2023 Review
We almost didn't eat here Tuesday night because of so many recent reviews saying it's not good. Well, glad we didn't listen to those people!
This is a repeat place for us as we ate here in 2019 during our first visit to NZ and we liked it then. Well, we still like it now!
The food is fresh and delicious. They made my husband's order right. He can't do anything spicy and no coriander (cilantro). The waitress was very good in disclosing that there may be traces (which he can do). We let her know that it just can't be intentional putting in of spicy (anything capsaicin) or coriander.
I went with a different dish than my usual. I tried the Sizzling Cashew Chicken. It was tasty. Had lots of veggies! Sauce is sweet and a tad sour. I liked it. It is simply a personal reference that I wouldn't order it again because I prefer milder, lighter, and less sweet of a sauce. My fav-go-to is the the Thai basil and spicy. So, just be aware that this dish comes with lots of sauce. (I'm not sure if normally this dish is spicy or not. Mine wasn't.)
Husband had the Cashew Chicken. Delicious! I liked his sauce more than mine.
Both of our dishes had cauliflower which was a bonus for me. Not normally something we see served up with our Thai dishes in the US.
We shared a bowl of steamed white rice. (It is an extra charge. Nothing fatal.)
Is the wait time long? Yes. BUT! Every place we have gone to during this summer vacation has been 40+ minute wait times. So. Not sure why people are complaining so much in their reviews. It's just a thing with restaurants. They are understaffed. I feel bad for them. They do have signs up notifying of long wait time. We went prepared with our Kindle and Nooks. Got in some reading time. We got seated right away and got to sit and read in comfort while they made our food. The places was packed and they were smart to cut off outdoor seating. They don't try and squeeze in every customer, as they are bountiful, instead they focus on what they can handle.
It was great to be back and had a wonderful first night dine out in Wanaka.
By far the best Thai I have ever had. Very saucy and full of flavour. Dined in about a 2 weeks ago whilst on holidays and went twice. Ordered the Pad Thai, asked for no egg, no fish sauce and added tofu. AMAZING! Very accommodating staff and aware of what vegan is. They were very busy that night and the food was taking some time so they brought over complimentary thai spring rolls. The second time I went I had the Fresh spring rolls as entree which came out very quickly and the Pal Ke Mal Noodles as a main, asked for no fish sauce to make it vegan and added tofu. Forgot to ask for it mild so it was a bit too spicy, but the flavours were on point. So saucy and oh so good. Would highly recommend!!
Better Thai restaurant than the one in Queenstown centre! We are on the last night of our short one week break trip after a few years of working non-stop. We had our 2nd dinner here tonight and it was good, for the money and the atmosphere. Visiting from Auckland, the food here is comparable to some top Thai restaurants in Auckland for the money. We had cashew nuts stir fried with chicken, with see food and green curry and the mixed starter for 2. Seeing some horrible reviews on this restaurant makes me see how horrible people can be. Be a customer yes but also be a human with understanding. This is not fine dining where the dinner price tag is $45 - $50. Your food goes wrong? Let them know if they can fix it for you and see how their customer service truly shows. The staff was friendly and very attentive to us. I had a nosebleed out of the blue and staff gave me more tissues. Someone in the reviews complained about seafood not fresh, no Wanaka is not by the sea is it? especially when you have a mixed seafood in your plate for $30 dinner. For fresh seafood plate in Auckland eating out you would pay more than that. Be reasonable consumers and customers.
Terrific food, excellent and speedy service and delightful atmosphere. The three of us that ate there could not recommend this more highly - we had three different dishes and each was superb.
The food quality seem to have slightly dropped over the 6 years I've been here. I think I'm quite a good judge given that I dine here every time I pass by Wanaka. But still, an extremely good eatery for your Thai fix!
The Tom Yum steamboat we ordered this time round was really flavourful and could easily feed 3 adults. They were extremely generous with the ingredients and that was unexpected. Tons of mushrooms and squids.
Spring rolls were alright. Nothing too fanciful here.
Massaman Curry, unfortunately, contained prawn base so I didn't get to try.
When I first came they used to sell Thai Iced Tea. Not anymore, unfortunately, which is disappointing for me.
The food was delicious, a little on the expensive side 4 adults for lunch was $180 for 2x entrees 4x mains but reasonable servings considering.
We order from Thai Siam regularly. The food is delicious and it is always delivered on time.
My husband just loves the coconut rice!
Yummy lunch! We had such a fantastic meal. Highly recommend! This will be a regular for us now, the new owners are welcoming and friendly.
All round, very clean and high quality food. Portions are generous.
