Pies were oh-so-nice!!!
Simple setup but does what it needs to do.
Affordable IMO and the size of the pies were good for a starter meal.
We had the steak + bacon as well as the steak + cheese.
The choco cream was also hubba hubba good as! Manly long type of donut texture bread. π We likey likey.
Yea pies were OK. Wouldn't say its the best I've had. Had the chicken and a sausage roll.
Pastry wasn't flaky flaky and the chicken filling is more starch like (I. E flour and water) than cream based.
Best pie I've had so far is from buzz stop in Queenstown.
Definitely still should try and make your own judgment, but wouldn't know why someone would be giving out awards and such for it.
Bought a few boxes of cold seconds pies from the freezer. Excellent taste π, love the pastry. Used to be called Kai Whakapai when I lived in Wanaka in the 1990's. But different Era, different owners. Still great food and that's what counts..
Excellent pies. Great flaky pastry, tasty saucy filling, the right temperature and easily eaten by hand. We had one each and then split another one. Had the goat peri peri (not spicy), chicken leek and bacon, and lamb and mint.
Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Good range. Quick and tasty coffee service. Seating and good options for freezer savory optioba

I got some chicken bites that weren't very fresh (never complained) and the kind lady who served me gave me a fresh batch for free as she must have heard that the ones I got weren't the best... Great service

I heard about the award winning pies, had to try them and i loved the steak and cheese pie. Classic New Zealand food. The family & I will be visiting when we come to back Wanaka again.
Only discovered this brand yesterday, it was mince and gravy. Very nice. Later in the day, I went back and bought 4 more, 2 mince and gravy and 2 bacon and egg. Yet to try the bacon and egg. Purchased from the Elms Cafe in Peacehaven Village, Invercargill. No complaints at all.
Coffee and wide variety of pie available ready to eat. Other sandwiches are also on offer. Frozen pies for bulk buy can be purchased as well. Awesome staff.
