Always enjoy the Pho here!
Keep coming back during lunch time and booking is highly recommended as they have limited space.
Our favorite is Le Saigon Pho, beef skewers, summer rolls, veggie fried spring rolls. They also have more noodles and broken rice menu, as well as bhan mi or the sandwich. If you love coffee, try Vietnamese coffee here. The dessert like flan and sorbet is worth a try as well.
They have the bar so they have the selection of alcoholic drinks as well.
Service is fast and the taste is delicious.
There’s a little step on the entrance that might be tricky for those with wheelchairs. Parking is available in the surrounding areas but it can be a bit packed during lunch and dinner time.
The place is very clean, classy, and a great place to dine in. Staff were friendly. The food was great and affordable, too.
Was really crowded so glad I booked in advanced. Bit the meal was super enjoyable. We had the Pho and my fussy Dad was pleased (phew!!) The Banh Xeo was awesome (I got mine without veggies much to the chagrin of the wait staff but they did it anyway 😅) and the Crispy Pork Belly with Vermicelli was great too. So was the Broken Rice with Grilled Pork. And Vietnamese Coffee was legit good. 👌
Friendly and fast service, food was fantastic and very filling. Nice Cosi restaurant.
very popular dining place, we arrived at around 6 and it’s fully packed. Waited about 10 mins for table of 2
We ordered chicken Pho, Summer platter (fresh spring roll of 3 flavours), steam bun with chicken. Order took awhile as the house is almost fully seated.
Fresh spring roll set came in 3 flavours with peanut and sweet sour sauce. The rolls taste fresh and recommended for sharing so you can try different types of fillings at the same time
Chicken Pho served very hot, lots of ingredients. The bean sprouts and green veg served in a separate plate. If you don’t like too raw bean sprouts taste, add them in the soup once it arrived.
Steam bun with chicken, flavourful chargrilled chicken with pickles veg and spicy mayo. Taste so good, love the combination.
Staff are polite to check on us if everything ok. Only 3 service staff for entire place so please be understanding.
We note that many patrons left rice untouched or barely touch, if you like lesser rice good to highlight to reduce food wastage 😉
Have been trying so many Vietnamese restaurants in NZ to find the real taste of traditional Vietnamese food and this is definitely the best one. The flavour from foods to coffee and even desert really makes me feel homesick ❤️
Good place for quick lunch catch up with friends. Note if you are not happy with the dish, tell the staff immediately. Happened to me today that 1 of the entry was cold and lightly harder than it should be, they recook a new dish for me right away. I ordered happy pancake and it’s quite oily though. That is the only thing i will complain. Overall it’s good. The waiter is very friendly and helpful
Arrived the capital this afternoon for an entire day meeting tomorrow.
Not far from the hotel we found this restaurant to dine in for our dinner.
They were packed when we arrived without prior reservation the waitress still managed to get us a table, highly appreciated!
The young waitress service was impressively well, however the kitchen service time was a bit slow so I couldn't give it a 5 ⭐ review.
Southern Vietnamese food tastes a little different than Northern part, to me, I am more a fan to the Northern Vietnamese food.
Overall they are delicious as we observed their great business on a Tuesday evening, it is just not that attractive to me, personally.
wow cool place and high class Vietnam restaurant and very tasty. You must order le saigon special
Excellent customer service. The restaurant was almost full when we visited during lunchtime. Food is tasty. I recommend trying chicken xien nuong. Bun bo is okay.
Lovely Vietnamese food with fresh flavours and friendly service. The sharing platters are a good way of trying different dishes. The spicy beef noodles with vermicelli, slow cooked brisket and Vietnamese ham is delicious, as is the Viet grilled chicken thigh. The restaurant gets very busy so it pays to book ahead. It’s also very loud inside if there are groups dining.
Despite how busy the resturant was the service was friendly and fast. The food is excellent and plenty of option for vegetarians, vegans, dairy free and/or gluten free individuals. Strongly recommend enjoying a meal here.
We had a lovely meal. Friendly service, comfortable surroundings, and yummy food. Can't go wrong.
Very good food reasonable price, quite busy atmosphere but a CBD mid week lunch so you could expect that.
Great food and very quick service. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also quite good. It is probably one of the top Vietnamese restaurants in the town, highly recommended.
Nice, clean and tidy place. I had the pork banh mi. Was really good. The bread was fresh & warm - not hard so easy to bite without bits flying around everywhere 😅 really nice fresh ingredients. Everyone else's dishes looked great as well. We went as a group and were able to pay separately with no issue.
Lunch special. Very nice.
Went again about a year later and the menu has changed. There is no longer a lunch special but you can order side dishes for $4 in addition to a main menu item for about $19. I ordered the pho and while it was very tasty the soup was not hot enough. And the summer rolls were quite tough which meant they clearly had been sitting outside too long.
I don't usually review, but I was so happy with my experience here that I felt i should. Massive thank you to the staff for making us feel very welcome with our young toddler, you went above and beyond, making a dreaded outing with a baby, a great experience. Food was also delicious. Can't wait to visit Wellington again and come back.
Fantastic express lunch on a cold winters Weekend.
Popped in for a quick lunch as I enjoyed my last visit here a month ago. Again was greeted by the friendly font of house member who showed us to our table. We took advantage of the lunch special they had which included one appetizer and main. Went with the Chicken Pho, Grilled Pork and Spring rolls to start. I've attached photos this time just as I mentioned I'll try and take a few before we eat (A las the hunger got to me first prior to photos).
Spring rolls - A nice crispy texture complemented with a home made sweet and sour source.
Chicken Pho - Just perfect as the last one we had here, the soup base was full of flavour and an excellent dish to have on a cold winters morning. Its' hard to find a good soup now in our cool capital especially where you don't have to add the chilli sauce.
Grill pork - Wow! Deliciously juicy and slightly sweet with a nice light grill to give it texture. It does come with the home made sweet and sour sauce but I tried it with out it to see how it tastes. I must say you will not be disappointed with this. I did add an egg as it was optional :)
Overall we did enjoy our visit here and highly recommend it if your in town for business or staying the night there. We'll defiantly be back and hungry for more. Have reviewed this place on trip advisor too under Mr Chilly if you want to see what dinner is like.
