Aunty Mena's Vegetarian Cafe - Wellington - Photo album

Another Wellington institution, one of the best vegetarian/vegan place on the city. The dumplings laksa is absolutely incredible along side the rest of the menu. The stuff is very nice and friendly and the service is pretty fast from ordering to get the food. Great food for non vegetarian/vegan like
The restaurant was a bit unkempt but acceptable. Service was ok, but they seemed happy to move people around after they had been seated. Not a problem for us, but could be for others. The food was excellent and good sizes.
Definitely delightful place to go for vegan food. We ordered Deep fried Wonton, Laska Chicken (Mock) and Nasi Lemak and were amazed by the taste and texture of meat (mock). We will surely come back to try other options on their menu. The price is reasonable with a generous portion. The service is ok
Love to eat here when I’m in Wellington. So many vegan options it’s great. Tasty laksa and nasi goreng
Whole place is vegan, fast turnover didn't have to wait to long for a table. Not fancy dining simple and great affordable food. Will be back to try more off the menu
Delicious food and friendly service. An incredible vegetarian / vegan restaurant with a lot of different options. The staff is very friendly and can accommodate any dish to your liking. I highly recommend it, the atmosphere can easily fit a night out with friends or a date.
One of my all time favourites. Aside from being 100% vegan, all their dishes are an absolute delight and don't break the bank. Personnel is friendly as and always willing to go the extra mile for a guest. Very glad they're well again after a short downtime due to covid. You guys rock!
Only had the Laksa, strongly recommend, coconut soup, light spice, lots of tofu and a few different textures, udon like thick noodles, yum. Great on a raining day or whenever! Also tofu drum sticks are great.
Amazing vegan food. Everything is vegan. Highly recommend the Laksa, the Roti Chennai, and the drumsticks. Easily some of the best vegan food in Wellington.
For vegans it’s must go!! Best vegan laksa ever, full of flavor, big portions and nice service. 5✨ are not enough for this gem and the prices are also more than reasonable. If I’ll be someday back in Welli I will definitely come. Thank you!
The best vegetarian restaurant in Cuba street. Good traditional vegetarian food as well as the fake meat kind. Highly recommended 👌
Absolutely gorgeous vegan food every time! I live in Lower Hutt and it's worth the trip. People travel from Eketahuna for this! Best food hands down vegan or not a must try!
A hole in the wall vegetarian /vegan restaurant with a simple but tasty fare. Menu consist SE Asian and Cantonese dishes. Imitation meat and chicken dishes available. Portions are reasonably sized yet cheap.
I can't praise Aunty Mena's highly enough. I've eaten here several times, and everything was spectacular (especially the Laksa and Dumpling Laksa). Everything is cooked fresh to order at the front of the restaurant, the staff are warm and welcoming, and you can taste how much love and care goes into
Went on a Thursday at 1830 and the place was packed, but we got a table for two quite quickly. We ordered the nuggets for $8 and two mains which were about $13 each. All the food was delicious, portions were pretty huge and service was good and quick.
Delicious food! Love the laksa noodle soup! Great prices and food quality.. I highly recommend it if you are looking for vegan/veg options
So amazing! This is the best of any type of Asian food I’ve had in New Zealand for sure. The steam buns and potato curry were perfect. The service was fast and really friendly. Great location on Cuba st! :)
Delicious curry laksa, vegan and full of goodness. The place is a hole in the wall in Cuba Street, with a loyal following and commendable menu filled with diverse meatless Southeast Asian/Malaysian dishes. Prices are good, and portions are ample.
