Fidel's is a Wellington classic. The food was great and it's such a fun interesting space. Staff were friendly and helpful. A great brunch spot. We went at 10 am and thought they might be too busy as its a popular spot but only have to wait a couple of minutes. Staff are super efficient and welcoming.

We’d heard positive things about Fidel’s and was excited to give it a go as it had a good range of vegetarian options for brunch. The food did not disappoint! However, the service speed and attentiveness was a huge let down and made the experience at Fidel’s a bit chaotic and not relaxing. We’re hoping we caught them on a bad day as everyone else speaks highly. Staff were very polite when spoken too, we just felt we had to chase and wait abit longer than other people who had come in after us for certain things.

I've been here a few times now and I think it's a pretty groovy place. The food is pretty decent and I feel like the Fidel's feast gives you a bit of everything for a brunch or breakfast! Their milkshakes are also awesome!

Quickly becoming a fave and regular of mine. The food is great value and usually a 10/10 homerun. And the coffee/drinks are always on. Ive yet to try their desserts & cabinet food but it all looks amazing. Love the ambiance and different settings—out back is definitely the cutest vibe. Their playlist is also often 🔥🫶🏾 and just a nice place to be. Kaimahi are super friendly but not overbearing (a fine balance to be sure) and i always feel welcome—even when i’ve come on a busy day/morning. 12/10, highly recommend!

Great food with nice cakes and treats. A great vibe and friendly service. Not table service to you have to go and order at the table! Highly recommend the food and chicken sandwhich!

If you are looking for that hip and rebellious feel, then this place is for you. Great coffee place too and best of all reasonably priced. Just feels like a different world in there. Takes you back to your younger years of idealism.

100% recommended - if you only go to one place in Wellington for breakfast, make it to Fidel’s Cafe.

Excellent food and kind staff. Be careful of the various floor levels throughout the restaurant.

Best thick shakes in town, although you’ll pay for it at $11. But worth it. We tried their big breakfast and Caesar salad too. Both delicious. Get there early because it does get really busy after 10am. It’s a little cold in winter because half their space is outdoors too. Enjoy!
