Simple set up where the food speaks for itself. I wasn't sure what to expect but my mate and I were pleasantly surprised. The fish dish was bursting with flavor and well worth $19!

Always great Malaysian food as usual, from when they were Courtenay Place to Island Bay and back again. Worth going for lunch menu. The Laksa was superb. Also check out their squid dish.Cheers.

A nice little shop in Cuba. I buy my take-away there frequently. I have to say, they do serve excellent Malaysian food. I am Malaysian, and i love it there. Food to try; Nyonya Fish and their rotis! excellent.

I find this place pretty decent, I enjoy their curry and rice dishes. Enjoyed the meals I've had here so far. I would totally go back when craving for some curry or Malaysian food in general.

Absolutely amazing Malaysian food. The chicken rendang is to die for, and the service is so attentive and lovely, always. I regularly order from this quaint restaurant - takeaway - as the restaurant is quite small, always busy/loud at meal times, and not the best decor - But that doesn't takeaway from this gem's deliciousness rating :)

Delicious food! Just wish I asked for a spicier curry or chilli to add. I had the Lamb Rendang, delicious and tender. Family enjoyed their meals (forgot to take photo's of all dishes we ordered). The floor staff were busy and perhaps short staffed (seems to he the norm now everywhere). But, we were served with a smile and nothing forgotten and food was fast. Just a let down was the other diners who kept leaving the front door open, letting in the cold air. We had to frequently get up to close the door. For my family of 4, we paid ~$130, which was 3 mains, 2 starters, 1 Roti & drinks.

Lovely experience! Friendly and welcome staff. The restaurant is small and humble and the food does the talking. Beautiful flavours and generous portions. We goat curry which my partner said was 10/10. Fall off the bone meat and flavorsome. I got the beef rendang which came with lovely pickled vegetables on the side which balanced the flavours. We got chicken satay for starters, the satay sauce was the best I've had. Looking forward to coming back here again. Byo too which is handy ❤️ Apparently they do a really nice lunch menu too.

I had a lunch here by myself and really enjoyed the little space. Crisp fresh air kept the small restaurant pleasant. I ordered Mee Goreng Mamak with Tofu. I loved it! A Mee Goreng I’d definitely recommend and will be going back for. The were — at least I think — handmade deep fried satan in the dish as well as tofu puffs, broccoli, cabbage, carrot, beans, and egg! The sauce was thick but luscious with sweet and savoury flavours. Seriously good — can taste the wok fried-ness, too! I tried a plain roti, too. OMG! A true stand out handmade roti. It was handkerchief thin and seriously flakey and buttery. The lunch time prices are cheaper so I can only assume the portions are a wee bit smaller? But I was happy.

We had a first time visit last night, after a Christmas event in town. I felt like a chicken and roti meal, and after reading a Spinoff article that said Satay Malaysia's roti canai and curry combo was 10/10, we decided to wander up Cuba Street. My chicken curry with rice and roti completely lived up to the 10/10 rating, and my husband's laksa and daughter's prawn sambal were both equally excellent. The pinot grigio was delicious also. The waiter was excellent - friendly, efficient and helpful and the place just has a great vibe. Can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu!

One of our “go to” curry shops. Always good. Always tasty and almost always full. The family that run the place welcome you with a smile and wholesome food. I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed this place already. Must have been too busy eating. The goat curry is a standard (shown) and everything else is good. Don’t hesitate outside. Open the door and go for it. You won’t be disappointed. All at a reasonable price. (They do Deliver Easy)

This is one of my favourite places for Malaysian food in the Wellington. The owners and their staff are really lovely. And the food is amazing. The green chicken curry, the fish curry, the chicken curry and the nasi lemak are outstanding. The murtabak and garlic roti and rojak are really good too. The food is really flavoursome, incredibly generous and the ingredients are so fresh. And it's all perfectly cooked too. An absolutely brilliant restaurant. Go, go, go!

Fantastic, just as I remember it!!! Fully loaded Seafood Laksa, generous portion, so worth $20!! Mum had Chicken curry which came with roti & rice. Boneless thigh meat and perfectly cooked potato, packed with flavour!! Roti not oily like many others, perfect sweetness, crispy and soft. Closes at 2pm, only downside haha

Best rendang in Wellington AFAIK. $31.xx for two mains which include roti and rice. Plenty of meat and great flavors. If you ask for hot they will make accordingly. Great service also.
