- salmon was a little on the small side and would've prefer a bit more texture/flavour to elevate the dish to the next level
Overall, the dish was a great dish that worked well, but lacking a bit of texture/flavour to wow you. Grade: B+
Really lovely brunch spot, nice to have something poppin down this end of town on a weekend. The chicken watermelon waffles were sublime. Portions erred on the side of pricey for the size, but only just. Will be coming back here! Waitresses were so lovely as well.

Amazing food! We came here for brunch on aa Saturday morning. Had the Seafood chowder and I have to say by far the best seafood chowder I have had in a long time. Typically they are too packed with seafood and pretty much just cremy white sauce. But this was so rich, intense in umami flavour and with the addition pf crayfish oil and a deep fried fish skin, it was absolutely to die for. Also had the croissant with garlic mushrooms and spinach. Also heavenly. I will definitely hit Two Grey up again the next time I’m in Wellington!
Came there with my boy today. Was greeted with a friendly smile as soon as we entered, though it was very busy we were seated quickly. We ordered the banana crepes & waffles with tea & hot chocolate. The drinks arrived not long after followed by our food. One word..delicious 😋 !!! Loved everything about this place , from the ambiance to the service. Very impressed!! Everything was on point and I’m definitely going back to try more things on the menu. Keep up the good work guys 😊
Had a fabulous brunch with my daughter. Had the high brunch that came out on a cool tower. 55 per person. Enough lovely food for the price we paid and a great variety. Would recommend this experience and food tasting. Will go back and order just a standard meal as everything was yummy.
Two Grey really is a dining experience! I recently came with family for the high brunch and really was blown away by it! The food was impeccably prepared and presented. Absolutely delicious! It is very well worth a visit if you're in the central city looking for a great quality meal. The staff are attentive, helpful and happy to work with any dietary needs.
Breakfast time. The coffee was great, as well as the breakfast, grilled zucchini and poached eggs with crumb, and a side of cold smoked salmon. It all tasted great, however the service was slow, didn’t bring water to the table, and forget my salmon. Had to remind them of my original order. Cannot knock the quality of food and taste though. I would go back
I must say I had a wonderful experience at this place. I ordered the egg benedicte but scrambled eggs, which was meant to come with croissants but they were all out. So they gave me other options. I opted for sourdough bread. The whole meal was just perfect. The eggs were well done, just how i like it, they did not dry out and they remained juicy throughtout my whole sitting (I ate slow). They allow flexibility to orders, so, love that. And lastly, the kumara fries!!!! They were amazing, highly recommanded! Anyways thank you Two Grey🥰

Satisfaction guaranteed for our very late lunch! Came here with family after a long wait with our passport renewal appointment. We had a delicious and fulfilling late lunch served with welcoming staff and smiling people. The area is immaculately tidy and just perfect for our much needed rest and starving tummy. Fancy restaurant in the city of Wellington and charming one. A bit pricey but still affordable. Keep up the good work guys. See you next time 👍
I had a hand roll fettuccine. It was as amazing, I could feel the flavor of the sea from sea food. No doubt, you need to try it when you visit here.
I just don’t think the staff are fully trained, they seemed unsure of what to do at times, they had run out of ingredients for some food, the barman definitely needed training as two alcoholic drinks were horrible tasting and took way too long to make.
The Wagyu beef burger tasted like any other burger, the fish looked beautiful, Caesar salad, albeit with dry chicken was insatiable and I didn’t want it to end, the Apple Crumble, despite way too little cream was divine.
The young chap serving us was very professional, had great etiquette, always polite and he didn’t need to write any of the six orders down which was incredible; very impressed.
Their Sonos audio system was perfectly tuned, the music at the perfect sound level and overall atmosphere of the restaurant very inviting.
Despite quite a few issues I would definitely go back as overall it showed promise.
High brunch was a new concept for me - a lot of fun! So much food, so we were super full by the end.
As busy as Two Grey Cafe was on late Sunday morning the host Asif Prasla worked calmly and provided excellent service. He was friendly and respectful when asking us to wait a while so he could organise a table for us. Shortly after we were seated we were provided with water and the menu, and not long after we were able to order, so our wait time was not too long. The food was generous portions, and cooked to perfection in terms of taste, quality and presentation. The flat white coffee was the best coffee I have had in a very long time. I told a wait staff (Tim) how much I enjoyed the coffee and wanted to know what type of coffee this was. Tim came back with the coffee beans to show me the brand. He was so friendly. We enjoyed coming to Two Grey Cafe so much. Thank you for the wonderful experience in Wellington. We will highly recommend your Cafe to everyone we know.
Christmas high brunch, service was good, but the food was great. Although it is not bottomless tea, the food range was fresh and taste. Definitely Worth of your time and money.
Best steak I’ve had in my life!! Juicy and perfectly cooked to how me and my partner wanted it. Will be coming back for it again soon. We also went for breakfast the next day as the food was good the night before. Chefs are very good at what they do! Thanks
Lovely place for brunch. Our high brunch portion was big enough to feed 2 adults and one child. Food was amazing, excellent service 👍
The seafood chowder really tasted a little weird, more like mashed potatoes. Ate Wellington burger, it should be fish puree and pork puree, special.

Very strategically located in Grey St., adjacent to the Intercontinental Hotel in Wellington, Two Grey never dissappoints you.
Love their seafood plates,- fresh oysters, seafood chowder, grilled fish.. those are my fave! Tried the steak and chips, fish and chips as well wagyu burger. Yummy! The buttermilk chicken is also delicious!
The service is good. Staff are very friendly and polite, patiently help us with the menu.
Oooh… They do give free dessert for my boy’s birthday. Super yummy and love the gestures ❤️❤️
