Celebrated my sisters bday here as a first table and the service was 12/10 probably the best we have ever had. Even tho we arrived late and asked to take leftovers, the waiter was super hospitable.
The waiter was super kind the food was really good too the club sandwich being a highlight.
They have a good selection for a buffet breakfas; from hot item, cereals to pastries.
For dinner, they have limited options available but still good ones.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
We stayed in the ibis hotel and it's in the hotel
So we had dinner not to bad good stake and wife said her salad of vegetables was good
Vivant restuarant is located inside the Ibis Hotel on Featherston St in Wellington. This spacious setting has pleadant decor and surroundings. The food was very good, well presented and quite reasonably priced given the location in Wellington's CBD. The service was professional, prompt and polite. I enjoyed my dining experience there and would be keen to return to try out some of the rest of their menu (I had the WOAP burger entry, which was excellent). I would recommend this place to friends and family.
I enjoyed a lovely restaurant experience, with my daughter, at Vivant tonight. Our meals were absolutely delicious! The grilled salmon was cooked perfectly. SO YUM!. The staff were nice too.

Great service - we arrived here for a cooked breakfast on a wet and windy day, after another cafe we often visit while in Wellington only offered cabinet food. Although the kitchen had closed 30 minutes prior, they stated this was not a problem. Great communication with our orders, we were both very happy with our meals and coffees. It was a wonderful breakfast - I would recommend to anyone visiting Wellington :D
Ate here tonight while staying in the hotel. Three of us all enjoyed our plentiful and really tasty meals - I had the pork belly & loved every bite - and the service was pleasant, friendly and helpful. Will definitely eat here again when visiting Wellington.
Not as good as a couple years ago, but still decent. All the staff very attentive and kind. Food is above average for New Zealand standard, which considering this is a hotel restaurant, is saying a lot. Grilled eye fillet and chicken breast with roast veggies are still to die for, but they've pulled my favourite dessert off the menu since the last time I was here, so was a bit bummed about that. I won't even mention prices as this is Wellington after all and 95% of places are ridiculously overpriced anyway, so large bill comes with the territory.
Best pan fried chicken breast ever. Chicken crackling and toast potato is excellent. Vegetable cooler perfectly. Definitely will try again
Went there last night for dinner just as a walk in. Wasnt expecting much but was very impressed with the food. Apparently a new menu, pork belly was outstanding and the scallops were to die for. Only thing I would suggest is a better steak knife

The night I dined here the chef's special was lamb ribs. Those were some of the most amazing lamb ribs I've ever had.
The whole restaurant was clean and the wait staff were friendly.
Delicious food. The lunch menu is a little limited, but the dinner menu cannot be faulted. Always perfectly cooked. One of the best steaks in town.
3 tour coaches outside and a full restaurant and they still managed to find us a table and give us fast friendly service. The fact their steak was excellent was icing on the cake.
