This is me and my partners regular Indian take out or dine in with either phone orders being ready very quickly, and wait time for meals at a good pace. We found that they tailor spice level really well. Always had great service for the last 2-3 years we've been.

I was greeted by friendly professional FOH staff when I arrived. I had pre-ordered and only had to wait a couple of minutes for my order when I got there. I ordered the kadai prawns and garlic naan. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the whole dish was lovely I couldn't fault it. The garlic naan was tasty and fresh. Great friendly atmosphere and delicious food. I will definitely be back!

The best Indian restaurant I have ever been to (and I've been to alot in the North Island). As a Punjabi, this is the only Indian restaurant that really tastes authentic and never disappoints. Whether it be aloo gobi to saag to tandoori chicken, every meal I've had has been hot, fresh and delicious. It has become my must-go restaurant whenever I am in Wellington.

Little India Porirua is the best. Really. I eat Indian food about once a week from all over the country, and Little India's lamb korma is the best. The staff are always friendly. I do find their prices a bit high, but what can you expect from the best?

Just had a really great paneer meal, thank you! Suggestion: make bigger signs (visible from the motorway) so that we can see you are there :)

The experience was wonderful from start to finish. We went there for our anniversary and were seated by the fireplace.  The service was great.  My husband had the Mango Chicken and really enjoyed it...not too spicy.  I had the Lamb Saagwala...yum. I highly recommend Little India Porirua.

Amazing food. Best hicken korma have ever had. Really cool restaurant too. The only small problem was that with so many windows it was a bit cold inside.

Great service, and great food. My wife and I went there and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Will make it a regular dining choice.

Platters are particularly good and the spiciness of the food is just right. Staff were very friendly and together with the warm ambience make Little India well worth a visit.

I recently visited the Porirua Little India for the 1st time a couple of months ago – you locals are pretty lucky, as I think this is 1 of the best Little India locations (I have had the pleasure of visiting all 5)! It has one of the best ‘feels’ – the restaurant has a lot of character (it is a heritage site I believe) & a lovely ambiance. I’m usually a city dweller & frequent the inner city locales, but I had a family get together dinner there. The food & service was exactly on par with what I’ve come to expect from my favourite Indian restaurant – the food was scrumptious (I got the palak paneer after a while & it was delish, with mango chutney & raita). The staff were very pleasant & professional (don't really know them that well, as only been 1 x). I would especially recommend this restaurant for families – the younger members were mesmerised by the cool fish tank with some pretty exotic looking fish! I recommend you city folk give Porirua a try - def worth checking out! :)

Jugnus’s Little India offers an authentic taste of India right on our doorstep. Their butter chicken is a sublime journey of flavors, and the street food options transport you straight to the bustling lanes of Delhi. For genuine Indian cuisine that tickles the taste buds, this is the place to be! Parking is easy to find and pay attention on the location, it is at the end of the motel’s driveway. Then the great smell will lead you to their door.

Had a lovely experience tonight, the food was high quality and the restaurant staff are lovely. We had a total of 5 dining, each ordering a different curry, so we got to try a little of everything and it was all delicious, the aloo mattar and chicken saagwala being at the top. Can’t wait to head back and try out some of the other dishes. The parking is limited. There is a ramp for accessibility which was great for our Dad.

Our conversation home involved talking about why we haven't been before, who we will go back with and what we will have next? It was that good. We had a mixed platter, chole bhature, keema naan and bhuna chicken. On top of the food being lovely the restaurant and the setting are worth a trip too.

We did a pickup here of takeout and the hospitality while we waited couldn’t have been better. One of Porirua’s few heritage buildings. What a passionate host, thanks for showing us your kitchen and we are excited to see what you do in the future!

Mango chicken Beautiful 🤤 Goat Curry is BONE IN (therefore less meat - as the bowl is no bigger than normal), otherwise really nice. Ladies don't wear a light coloured top! Salad was Aromatic & Tasty! Keema Naan lacking on the filling, otherwise very nice

Love the starters and curries. My favourite that I have to order every time is Paneer Pakora. If you are meat lovers, should try tandoori platter which comes with lamb and chicken. The best one I have ever tasted so far. They serve alcohol, cocktails etc. Limited parking space however.

Best Indian restaurant in Porirua and definitely my favourite in the whole of greater Wellington. Beautiful food, the meat is melt in you mouth tender and everything tandoori is delicious.

Hidden gem! Awesome experience, great venue that makes you feel at home and super friendly/helpful staff. They have a giant menu with a thorough explanation of each dish. They also have a second menu specially made to be vegan friendly. 10/10 food and great portion sizes.

Little India has the benefit of being situated in the beautiful old Mungavin Homestead (if I remember rightly from when this was Mungavin Blues) and the ambience always adds to the experience. If I could critique anything it would be that the modern decor has never matched the older charm of the building. But the food has always been great and that’s what counts isn’t it? I’d recommend add a mango lassi to complement your curry.
