A nice place for Yum-Cha and lunch located at the edge of Te-Aro. Most of their food is made and presented very nicely, taste is authentic. Menu is elaborate and a lot of choices to pick from.
The restaurant is very spacious, clean and glamourous. However, I'm not convinced with their pricing. It's a little overpriced for yum-cha.
8/10
Love their Yum Cha! Finally get a chance to have a try and it did not disappoint me! The food was really fresh and the service was bringing you home :) All the dishes were yummy and definitely without too much "unexpected" seadoning. Besides the traditional Yum Cha we also tried BBQ lamb (small and cute and delicious). Price was reasonable and the place was extremely clean and bright. Will come again!
Love this restaurant name. This place has a nice decor, clean and nice service. Went here today for yum cha. It wasn’t busy. Ordered items off the menu - (they only go round offering food on the weekend) had all the normal yum cha options available. All the food was delicious. Prices range from $5.50 to $9.00 per dish.
I will be back to try a few mains for dinner.
Great ambient and great dim sum. Service is good and food is always fresh. This has become my go to place for dim sum in Wellington!!!!!!!!!
Dined here last Sunday for the Wellington Chinese Association mid-winter banquet. Every one of eight courses of food were delicious (see my nine photos below). The restaurant was capricious and had great ambience throughout.
The place was jam-packed with two hundred and ten excited happy diners all keen to sample the food of this brand-new Chinese restaurant for the very first time. I'm sure most would have went home happy and satisfied!!
It was quiet for a Friday night, which suited us perfectly! Our server was attentive, and the service was quick 15 minutes from ticket to table, but again, not a full house. A well laid out establishment, clean, light, and open with some great little details. There were a few things on the menu that were unavailable, but nothing that troubled us. We ordered sticky rice, pork buns, dim sums, chicken feet, braised pork belly, greens, pan-fried dumplings, turnip cake, crispy squid, steamed pāua and a can of coke each for $210. Beautifully presented, stunning crockery, quality condiments, and the best jasmine tea I've had in a while. Pricey by a little more than some other places but worth it for the extras.
Nice ambiance. Clean and quiet. Vaccine pass required. Accomodating staff. explained dishes thoroughly. was going to order steamed chicken, but was told it's a cold dish... opted to get the sizzling beef instead. beef, succulent.mains can be shared by 2. spareribs was ok. yangchow was yum! we were also given apples and oranges after the meal.a little bit pricey but overall very good.

Great food. Best dish was the taro basket with scallops. The seafood was amazing and the flavour of everything was great. Brilliant service and venue too.
Such a chill atmosphere, great interior, fast service and delicious food!
Yum Cha was excellent. The "Har Gao" (prawn dumpling) was absolutely outstanding, although the Xiao Loong Bao (which is a steamed cross between a pork dumpling and a pork bun) was disappointing. 12 out of 14 items we ate was good or excellent, with reasonable portion sizes and pricing, around $6.50-7.20 for most items. Service was pretty good, they were slightly overstaffed when we were there. One of the tidiest restaurant toilets in town! The only thing going against them is the obscure location and lack of street visibility. This restaurant was previously the Happiness Restaurant, but its had a name change, and slight change of ownership mix, we've heard. We're glad it's resurrected and is worthy of 5 stars and a recommendation to try.
Update following a second visit the week after. Busier this time but service still pretty good. Twice now we've asked for something and for a second week running they've delivered without needing a reminder - very impressed. Sounds basic but busy restaurant staff often don't. Har Gao not as good as previous week, the prawn flesh not outstanding but perfectly fine. The food is still generally of very good quality. My only gripe is some male customers must have tried long distance delivery in the loo; guys, it doesn't work, please don't, it's not nice for other customers and not fair to the cleaning staff.
Best Chinese restaurant. Great service & best food. A must to try for those who haven’t been & love Chinese
Good food with reasonable price.
We went there for a friend's birthday dinner. It was a huge Chinese banquet with numerous dishes. Everything tasted so good. It would be top class even if it was in China. My favorite was the dim sum (much nicer than Dragon's), and my husband's favorite was an eggplant dish. Could be the best Chinese restaurant in Wellington. Would like to try some spicy dishes next time.
Best yum cha in Wellington in my opinion. The 11 am seating is my preferred as the restaurant isn't busy. Lots of delicious options.
Bloody amazing dumplings & yumcha experience. Highly recommend spinach and prawn dumplings
I went to get food here for the food time last week and found all the staff very welcoming and the food perfect.I would very much recommend this restaurant to anyone that hasn't been.
The food is so delicious 👍🏻.
Nice service as well.
Very tasty fresh food, highly recommend
Wow, what a night!! A very busy friday night but that made it vibrant and lively, and gave it a very authentic asian atmosphere, busy, lots of chatter and staff hustling to keep up to customer demands. The food was excellent and the wait wasn't too long. Helpful friendly staff helped with food recommendations and more indepth descriptions of menu items when queried. and were almost always available to take drink orders. Loved my experience, will definitely be back to try more dishes and I'm sure there is something for everyone as there 170+ items to choose from.
