Excellent range of food choices. Highly recommend for the taro and kumara balls! They were very chewy and not too sweet. The high five combo was a perfect yum cha option for one person. However, the chicken sticky rice was a bit try.
Had a couple different dumpling flavours and some bao buns. These were good to a reasonable time. Delicious. And I’d definitely return again!
Semi regular lunch treat. Good selection of dumplings (tasty and well cooked) - must try the traditional soup. Yum Char selection is good too. Small, noisy & cosy, but that's part of the ambience/charm
Love it! We came here to snaffle the voucher deal on dumplings from the Wellington Advent Calendar. And came back the next day to try other things. The vegetarian dumplings are to die for. Yum! Then I had Salt n Pepper Tofu on rice. So good! My other had Katsu Chicken on rice. So good! All with lashings of chilli oil, yum! Will go again and again.
Cheap snacking place. A bit of a wait but they cook from scratch which is very nice. Food is tasty here and the cream cheese is awesome as well😋
Delicious soup base and chewy noodles. Dumplings were an explosion of flavour. I got the vegetarian chilli noodle
Tasty baos. Dumplings also looked very delicious
Really cute and cosy dumpling place. Great for lunch with friends or just go alone! Decent variety of dumplings with a nice range of filings cooked to order. Super delicious. A little bit on the pricey side for the portion size, but worth it if you need that quick, tasty dumpling fix.
Friendly staffs efficient service made to order pan fried dumplings. Limited high seatings inside. Noodles and rice available as well. Dumplings were a bit too oily for me but not bad. 8 for $8. Good for takeaways or quick bites.
Best dumplings in my opinion. Does help to order ahead of time if you're getting take away just to save the lining up. Pork buns are great too and decent value for money.
Dumpling is good , but calamari is pretty bad (it is hard to chew)
Went there for dinner. It was very quiet (just the two of us and 1 other). Considering how quiet it was, food took awhile to come out.
However the food was solid and reasonably priced. The portions were pretty large too.
Would recommend if you're looking for a decent, cheap meal.
We had one Bao and shared 10 dumplings. First time here so wasn't too sure on quantities. I'd get another Bao if you were hungry. Food was a bit tasteless but adding their chilli dipping sauce gave a bit of flavor.
No free water available and we didn't want to add plastic to the environment by buying a drink so we didn't have a drink.
Seating is limited to high bar stools at at high bench table so it's not suitable for a wheelchair or person who uses a walking frame
I don't see anyone here talking about the Cherry Cheese Bubble Cup but they should be because it's the best damn dessert I've had in the city. Picture chewy tapioca pearls and copious amounts of real cherry floating in a salty-sweet milky cream cheese broth. It's in incredible. Try it now.
They might be called The Dumpling Company, but their drinks aren't to be missed! They're also one of the few places in Wellington doing cheese/milk foam topping, the latest craze in Chinese milk tea (gong cha).
