This was my 2nd visit, food as delicious as the first time. We were lucky to get a table without booking. After us, booked groups arrived, restaurant filled, and people had to be turned away. I loved to flavours, clean and distinctive. The garlic naan was particularly good.
Very lucky to have such a great Indian restaurant nearby. Friendly, yummy and decent sized portions. They are cool about me bringing my own containers in too!
Love it! I always get the Dal Makhani and it’s so consistently yum. These guys are total legends much love. I find it’s standard price for Indian food and they never take long to make it. They give u spice options and I love it good job
This is my absolute favorite place to get malai tandoori tika! An entre size and then put it on a salad instead of fatty takeaways. I hadn't found anywhere else that does it!
I looked for Indian restaurant around my place on web then I saw Tandoori Heritage's name. I thought of giving it a try so I ordered Chicken Bhuna and cheesy garlic naan. I can't tell you the food was smelling amazing and it tastes delicious. It was sooo yummy! The service provided by them was quick. Next day I tried Samosa chat and it tastes tooo good. I never had such a yummy chaat in Nz before. They charge a dollar extra as compared to other restaurants but trust me its worth charging as the food tastes superb.
I can assure that I am gonna buy the food whenever I get a craving for something yummy from here only. 😉☺
I live around the corner and had never been here. Work dinner so I got to try it. Had the chicken kadai and it was amazing! Would return for this dish and hopefully with others that can order other dishes that I can taste! Decor is tired could do with a revamp, nice experience overall
My friend and I had a very pleasant experience here. We ordered the vegetable platter, the tandoori chicken tikka, and the Mughlai paneer curry too. Each dish was presented beautifully and they all tasted good too, especially the tandoori chicken! Our waiter was also very friendly and he even gave us complementary poppadoms.
In short, Tandoori Heritage was fantastic!
Great service staff is the first thing to Know about this place. Had a family of three adults and two kids and the wait staff were fantastic to all guests. We had the lamb korma, butter chicken, chicken tikka, tasting platter, garlic naans and one each of the kids meals from the kids menu. I think the flavours were different from other curry houses and I really enjoyed them. Spicy enough without being challenging (indian hot) and the kids also loved and were offered more of the papadoms. Naans were tasty and massive so good value for money. I would return and would recommend you have a try too next time you are in the area. Well done.
Great value and really lovely flavours with nice friendly and helpful staff.
Our favourite was the special goat curry. A very authentic restaurant in a handy location.
Good value for money, had tasted my first palak paneer here and I was just blown away--none of the other places could do it the way they did. Staff are friendly and accommodating enough also.
Delicious! I like Indian food, but don't have it very often, so this was a real treat.
The food is really excellent, and according to my Indian buddy, very authentic. The only thing is that the price really creeps up on you; the curries themselves are cheap, but you have to pay per serving of naan/rice, and that can add up pretty quickly. Stick to the garlic naan; it's fragrant, pleasantly garlicky and easily the most drool-worthy!
We had a large group of 16 go for dinner on a Thursday night. We had a set menu.
The food was nice, but the food arriving was quite slow. We were waiting along time... we arrived at 7.30pm and we still waiting for mains at 8.15pm and I had to leave at 9.30pm. Desert had not arrived.
I've ordered from this place fairly often for five years. Excellent curries and naan and the owner is very friendly and helpful. The curries are supposedly "kiwi hot" but even I couldn't handle too much of the "medium" ones... I am afraid to try the "hot" stuff. :)
Not very expensive, either.
The food here is great - very rich & complex sauces - they modify it to your preference for heat. Everything is fresh and not overcooked. Service is friendly and helpful. Ambience is ok with modern indian music in background, not too intrusive

This Indian Punjabi Tandoori takeaway is very good nutritious and tasty food. It is nice location at kilibirnie center. Management people were have very good and soft servicing skills. We are very happy with their food.
I have taken my family here a number of times, this place is great. We have 2 small children, the staff are always willing to help.
The chef/owner is happy to talk to you about what is in a meal and make suggestions. If you are like us and interested in getting your children to eat curry this is an excellent place to start either eat in or take away.
Well priced, great service and even better food
Both the takeout and dine-in are great, although dining in is the full Indian experience. A good range of dishes and friendly service.
A lovely place to dine and indulge in Indian food. The menu offers lots of options and there is a takeaway counter as well adjacent to dine in place.
Not to miss their desserts.
Biriyani was cooked with onion, ginger, garlic, and whole spices, like cloves, cinnamon, bay leaves and cardamom. The whole spices infuse each grain of rice with aroma and flavor. In this restaurant, the rice this restaurant refers to as Biriyani is served a steaming bowl of aromatic Biriyani we were served.
The Paraths were good on the first serving. No complaints, when we ordered second time it was like roti and top with some butter.
Their bread and curry taste really good. Our boys love the butter chicken and there are vegetarian option for my husband. Their mango lassie is a must try. Haven't try their dessert collection. Which we'll do because we are regular. We are here once a week with our family.
Great saag, the individual rice servings for dine in its though
Great food + great service. One of the great Indian restaurants in Welly.
Great food. Fantastic prices. Need to have more drinks in the non alcoholic section. Pineapple juice and ginger beer unavailable when we visited.
An absolutely delicious meal was had here tonight. I was especially impressed with the entrees which had outstanding flavors. The mains were also memorable. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make our evening enjoyable.
Have been ordering for a while and absolutely love their food… the spice level is perfect and every time if tried something new the tease is so distinguished for each item. Def blown my mind and absolutely love it.. My personal favourite is chicken Bhuna and Rara chicken …
You guys are amazing and your chef is a gem 💎

I think this is one of the best Indian restaurants in Wellington!
The staff were super friendly and attentive.
The food came out really fast and was authentic and delicious…..If I could give six stars I would!
Great place for the feel of Tandoori and the flavours. We loved this place. The ambience is good and the taste of the food is also so good. I love the Tandoori Chickent here. Good to try.
Punjabi Chicken and Vegetable Samosas for the dinner tonight. They were spiced tastily, succulent firm yet tender chunky Chicken cutlets for the Punjabi Chicken.
The Samosas were delicious 😋
Fantastic Food. Had takeaways that we ordered online, efficient service too. The best Indian I've had for ages. Highly recommend!
