Came in just after the morning rush at about 10:00am, greeted by friendly staff and placed my order. A latte and eggs Florentine. The coffee came quickly, fantastic temperature, however, slightly to bitter. Might have to change the ground of beans used for flavor and noticed small residue in the bottom of my cup. My meal took longer than expected, but not unreasonably so to be served, as the cafe was over half empty with most only stopping for coffee. The hollandaise sauce was a great consistency but perhaps under seasoned. One egg was over poached and the other was perfect. Fresh green spinach was tasty and not drowned in butter. English muffins where toasted well. Good portion sizes
Had an 8am meeting on the terrace so parked up and popped in for something quick for breakfast.
I mentioned my time limit and was told it shouldn't be a problem.
I ordered sourdough toast with marmalade $8.00 and green tea $4.50. Bit expensive but not bad.
Waited a few minutes and received my order. Three generous slices of toast with a dish with two butter sachets and some marmalade on.
One more butter sachet and a little more marmalade would have been perfect but it was fine.
The toast was nice and satisfying. The green tea wasn't as nice as some but again it was fine. Quite a small pot for $4.50.
All in all it was pretty good and I made it to my meeting on time.
Great place for a quick bite. Nice risotto and good coffee. This place is endorsed by the actuarial presidents from AU and NZ so must be good. Maybe a bias to corpse eaters - could do with more vege options.
