Stopped in the try the sushi for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavour. The variety was good enough for me and the price was very cheap, I think it may have been half price as it was a late lunch.... otherwise I thought the prices would have been a touch high compared to other outlets for relatively straight forward sushi. I liked the sushi and would return. Service was friendly too.
Pimps of the sushi game. I spent 15 dollars on this sushi for lunch but it is up there with the best. Fresh succulent fish and nice flavors. Chicken options and veg options. Especially nice touch is the complementary jelly beans at the cash register
It’s been a while since I've been here for sushi.
Good selection of sushi to choose from. They offer $6.00 pre-packed sushi, Miso soup and they even have dumplings available.
I chose a random selection. No prices were listed for the sushi. I asked and they happily explained. Although, it would be better if you knew the cost. Prices seemed a little higher than other sushi outlets, but only a bit more.
The sushi was prepared with care, and nicely presented. Good proportion of meat/fish per piece.
5 mixed pieces were $9.50
I wouldn't rate it as the best sushi I've had in the area, but it wasn't far off. Each piece was fresh and tasted good.
There is certainly plenty of takeaway sushi options in the city centre, but I have become fond of this one. I keep going because the sushi is generous, well priced and very fresh. The rice is soft and moist and the fillings generous. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I don't feel like I am on a conveyor line like some other lunch places of this style. The reason its not a 4 is that the atmosphere doesn't lend itself to dining in, despite tables and chairs being available, and the range is smaller than some other places.
A sushi 🍣 bar with huge competition in a 1km radius. The key point of difference here is price. The chicken 🐔 Katsu at $13.50 is a fair price as is the sushi 🍣.
The best sushi in town. Always fresh, great variety, friendly and helpful staff, also does smoothies and dumplings amongst other great stuff. Simply fantastic.
Love the variety of sushi and bowls.
Attention to detail, top quality rice that keeps shape perfectly, each piece with its own delicate flavour profile, a great range of popular and more unusual sushi - yes, it's gourmet, but I'd rather have this and pay a fraction more than the boatload of undistinguished bland stuff you get elsewhere.
Of all the Wellington sushi places I rate this top, together with Yoshi.
Very tasty sushi and love the decoration and atmosphere
Tasty Sushi with reasonable price
Great sushi, great price, give it a try!
Very nice Sushi but purely functional seating with zero atmosphere. Mainly catering for CBD takeaway I suspect.
Blowfish is BY FAR THE BEST SUSHI not just in Wellington, but the best I have EVER HAD
Their seered salmon is to kill for
Nice sushi. Just needs more work on the atmosphere.
So good, thanks - delicious!
My go-to local for lunch during work week
