I love this place and the Buddha bowl they offer. It is the best vegan place &/food I have tried so far and can never really get bored of it. Although, I'm keen to know what meat do they use for their plant based meat stir fry. I'm in love with it but they never really disclose the secret. Cheers!! 😍👌❤️

There’s hope for our animals and our planet with vegan food this good. Great place for lunch - good selection of food. The only downside for me is that their pricing keeps shifting from visit to visit. Hopefully the tweaking finishes soon

The lunch places available for a plant eater like me are few and far between where I work, so I relished the opportunity to visit here on a rare jaunt from the office. Power bowl was scrummy but I noticed my portion was noticably smaller than the person before and after me. So as others as mentioned, it depends on who you get serving you. I guess if you are a regular you will soon get to know who! So a bit pricey for how much I got but still yum

Got the power bowl, decent size, very filling and great value for money. So many delicious sounding options for the bowls, was hard to choose just three. Chose the TVP, five spice tofu and sweet and sour jackfruit. Highly recommend the TVP! Friend also got the potstickers which were good value for $5. Staff were also helpful and friendly when I had queries about the options. Will be back to try all the other options in the future 👌🏼

I’ve been here three times already. I’ve had the bowls for lunch and they are sublimely; but tonight I was here for dinner. I needed wheat free and they catered for this; adjusting the noodle dish to suit. It was tasty too. Loads of noodles!

Big portion, super friendly and helpful staff.

The bowls are superb and surpassed my expectation. Everyone I know who’ve been here always comments on the bowls.

I feel this place will become a regular lunchtime spot for me.

The Asian style power bowls are the main attraction here, and you can pick from your favourite curries. Meals here definitely feel healthier than many other lunch offerings, while still tasting great! Their burgers are quite unique as they rely heavily on the flavour of the Asian mock meats, worth a try if you're into that.

Went to Aroha because of the previous reviews and it did not disappoint. There was a queue (good sign). Lots of information on the walls to tell you what to order. I got the power bowl for $12.80. See attached pics. Fast, friendly service and so much to choose from. So happy to find this place. Reasonable prices and great variety. Highly recommend and will definitely come back.

This is the best vegan food I have ever tasted and I have lived in many countries and made and eaten vegan food everywhere for 20 years. Their smoked tofu and broccoli dish was absolutely divine. The choice of numerous hot dishes and salads was also superb. Thank you for such an amazing eating experience.. It would have been made perfect if water had been filtered -- fresh and clean to match the food. They get 10 out of 10 for their wonderful menu.

Really great vegan food! Build your own veggie bowl with tons of different options. I also tried the vegan nuggets and dumplings they were just as amazing.

Vegetarians and Vegans rejoice, this place gives you real choice for lunch or dinner. No longer restricted by salads and cooked veges, this place provides burgers, stir frys and proper meals that are filling and most importantly delicious. Within the Press Hall food centre, this place establishes a refreshing alternative to other more regular options in the hall. The service is fast and efficient, the staff are friendly and there is allot of aroha that had gone into the dishes. The Smoky Seitan burger is fantastic with a bean curd based patty that is a great alternative to the usual beef patty. It is also packed with fresh vegetables which makes the burger very satisfying yet not stodgy at all. It's quite possibly my new favourite place for lunch in Wellington and yes I am not vegetarian or vegan. Just "Keep Calm and Eat Plant-Strong".

Great little find for our plant based friends. Super tasty, great selection and really great value for money. Got the large power bowl, which was massive and enough for two people really, but managed to stuff it all in 😂

My favourite and personal go-to for delicious and wholesome food. The fact that it's plant based is such a bonus and I've yet to try something that I don't like. I always go for the regular size power bowl as I like having more variety and more delicious veggies to eat. Must try in Wellington. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Went for my first time the other day! Unfortunately they’d sold out of the seitan burger i had heard people raving about. But I was not disappointed anyway! Salad was insanely good and I’ve never had a vegan bao bun this good!

Really good burgers. You don’t get half way through and they taste dry or bland like other vegan patties.

Delicious vegan food but half cold and no microwave to heat it up - what a shame! Otherwise a perfect place for a healthy quick lunch.

The Aroha finds itself in the Press Hall Eatery, just on the left side and is a plant-based food stall. The ordering process is quick and if you ear in, you get a proper plate and cutlery (no throw-away 👌🏽). You can create your own rice bowl with a good range of ingredients to choose from. It was delicious! Accepts credit cards.

Oh my gosh. So much selection, we couldn't decide! The $8 super food burger for opening week was DEE-LISH! Keep doing what you're doing Aroha, cos you do it so well! We'll be back super soon to try some more! Yum!

One of my favourite lunchtime places in the CBD, heavily due to their power bowls where you can pick from a variety of vegan dishes - it can become a little same-same depending on your frequency and is facing some tough competition with Belen and Seize. It's like Seize but with 'warmer' bowl options.

My absolute favourite lunch spot in town. Every dish feels just like home cooking; authentic and made with love. The serving size is great and price is right. My go-to is the power bowl because you get to have a taste of everything and it’s so nutritious, filling and flavourful. I’m telling all my friends about Aroha but I also want to keep it all to myself!

Loved it! Really diverse selection of vegan options (veges, meat-free meat, jackfruit etc) and super delicious. Great value for money. Their $15 power bowl is quite big (not that I'm complaining) so maybe try their small size for a first go. Highly recommended to any vegans/vegetarians or those just interested in trying out those options.
