Always good to revisit does not disappoint. New burgers on the menu were Lovely, tasty and generous. Look out for the daily deals. Not far to go to the rugby too.

I ordered the steak and it was cooked to perfection, great portion and everything was well balanced. My cocktail I ordered was delicious, it was a kiwi fruity one. . So good!
Around the table everyone enjoyed their meals. Staff are friendly and attentive, and great ambiance within the restaurant.

My friend ordered an Espresso Martini and I ordered a 'Summer' Cocktail.
For the price of mine, I thought it was rather steep considering it tasted a lot like a normal glass of wine, but was lovely overall :)
We also had Thai Chicken kebabs, which were nice, maybe needed a tad more flavour? But what really won it for me was the AMAZING Roti with Lemon Butter 😇
Went here tonight for a couple wines & (margrain Pinot rose) & snacks. This pl is awesome for a catch up drink - it has good food & drink specials daily - today (thurs) was house spirits $6. Bar snacks are nice - fav is the caramelised roti,fries& fish bites. Will keep coming back since it is in such a handy location.
Food was great!! Lots of food options and gin of course. The atmosphere was lovely and staff were semi attentive but kind of seemed like they didn’t want to be there.. working in hospo myself this is a bit of a turn off
Great atmosphere and great food. Â Super helpful staffs and great drink selection. Â I love the burger dish, it will keep you dreaming about it at night. Â If you still have tummy for dessert by the end of your meal, give it a go, you won't be disappointed. Â Definitely will visit again when I am in town. :)
Enjoyed the atmosphere and great food on Friday night. Started with a couple of drinks at the bar while waiting for friends to join us. Followed this with a lovely meal, great bread and roti to start, followed by great mains from the pasta to the steak. A couple of the group even managed to fit in deserts.
The meal was made even more enjoyable by the staff who were friendly and provided good service. Will be back

We went here for a work lunch. Had the Chicken Burger off the menu and a Pork Roll off the express menu. Nice atmosphere, lovely meals, and nice to hear real music being played- which the staff were clearly enjoying singing along to the lyrics.

My friends and I visited Juniper recently, and loved our experience. The ambience is definitely very classy and cozy, as is the decor. We ordered two cocktails, which were pleasant; fruity, sweet and a little stronger than cocktails at most restaurants. Our entrees were gremolata calamari, caramelised roti with citrus butter & peanut sauce, and seafood chowder. These were all fabulous! My absolute favourite was the calamari, a dish I usually like but find boring; however Juniper made this dish delicious and enjoyable with just the right flavour and texture. I liked the roti, but it could've had more flavour and wow factor. The seafood chowder had great flavour and was also huge, which could've easily been a main on its own.
Our mains were Grilled Chicken Tagliatelle, Pork Belly and Pulled Pork Linguine - all excellently made. Tasty and in generous portions, they made for a delightful and very filling dinner. The pasta was perfectly al dente; the meat in each dish was perfectly tenderly cooked; while the flavours were perfectly balanced. Overall, we loved everything and would happily return!
Just visiting Wellington for a few days and this restaurant was handy so we walked in, also had $25 mains for a Saturday night, so couldn't lose. I ordered the pork belly and it was the best meal I have eaten in a long time, perfect size portion and beautifully presented. Overall good food and service, had a nice night only thing that would have made it a 5 if the scallops starter was fresh rather than defrosted.
A great place. Friendly staff and a down to earth atmosphere. The food was top class. I had the duck which was the most expensive item on the menu at $34 but most mains were well below this. Def happy to return in the future and recommended for the business traveller like myself.
Really enjoyed the scotch fillet. Perfectly cooked to my likings (medium rare). The herb potatoes were also delicious. Finally got a flat white to end the meal and tasted beautiful.

We booked online - completely hassle free. Dinner was booked before a WOW performance on Friday night. The waitress was knowledgeable and a very friendly. The food ..... absolutely delicious. I had the scallops - perfect! My friend ordered the
lamb rump which she declared was amazing. Although they were extremely busy the staff didn't falter. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The dessert was delicious. I would definitely recommend Juniper's to anyone wanting a delicious meal with excellent service and friendly staff. Well done!
Making a reservation was easy, went on-line and it was confirmed. Turned up on the night and we welcomed. Our table was ready. Unfortunately 4 of our number had to cancel but not a problem, there were still 8 of us. Juniper's waitress was great, she knew what was in the dishes. This was important as we had a 'Gluten Free' and a Vegetarian with us. Food arrived in good timing, lots of it. Very tasty. Some people managed dessert as well. There was a birthday celebration so a lovely piece of chocolate cake appeared, complete with candles. A lovely touch. We had been recommended to go to Junipers and have since passed details to friends in Wellington for WOW. Junipers is very handy.
Staying in town for work so was looking for somewhere with variety that didn't cost the earth. This place fits the bill! Delicious menu with plenty of options. Meal size is really good for the price which ranges from $27 to $35. Best part though is the service. All the staff there are informative, friendly, quick with a smile, and knowledgeable about their menu and wines. Really enjoyed eating there. Highly recommended.
We were in Wellington for the weekend and decided to stop at Juniper for a Cocktail. It has a lovely intimate atmosphere for a date night and the cocktails were so good that one soon became two and then some! (They have $10 cocktails on a Friday night). We hadn't intended on eating there, but they have a tapas style menu which we ordered a few things off. Yum! Great drinks, great service, great food and not overly expensive for such a nice place. We'd definitely call in again next time we're in Wellington.
I recently held a 25th party at Juniper. From day one (when I walked off the street to see if they had any sort of venue for hire) I was met with wonderful service. Venue was free and available the night I asked about, We could order food (i was emailed the food list that same day) but didnt have to. We could place a bar tab (full or subsidised or nothing) AND we could bring our own music.
In the weeks leading up I received prompt and helpfull replies to any and all questions.
On the night, I arrived early with my family and we enjoyed a delicious meal. The staff were helpful and lovely, especially with some unusual allergies among us.
The party went off without a hitch. All the guests had a lovely night.
Would recommend Juniper as a venue.
Lovely staff, great food and amazing cocktails
The wife and I were going on a date night and a friend recommended Juniper’s., so being a bit adventurous we book dinner for a Saturday night.
We ordered entrées which where almost main course size and the food was delicious. We were also informed that all the Mains on a Saturday where $25 dollars so I got the Duck and the Wife got the Steak. Once again we were not let down by the quality and size, the Chef knows what he is doing.
Then onto the deserts, which we did not need but the food was so good why stop now… Yet again the food exceeded expectations.
The place was nicely layout and the atmosphere was perfect.
All and All I will be telling all my friends to go there and I will be returning again, the night was prefect.
Also worth noting that they have over 50 cocktails, and the ones we sample were very good

This is our third visit to junipers, food absolutely Devine, roti/ peanut sauce for entre sooo yummy. Duck for main was also lovely, meals are of good sizes. Coctails are beautifully presented and amazing! Staff very friendly. Only fault we noticed was the staff constantly walking up and down waiting to clear your plate before you finish your meal! I went to Juniper last Friday night, it was excellent. The foods were great, one of the best I ever have. Roti, 500g Steak and Juniper Tiramisu, it was best of the best. Very busy, but the service was still extremely friendly and professional. I also tried their $10 cocktails, they were yummy, there are so many to choose from, and each of the cocktail was made to order, beautifully presented, and taste so good. Highly recommended. I have been Juniper's customer for last few years, the foods and service are just consistently great, never disappointed.
Juniper seems to do it all. I've held a large 30th birthday dinner there, as well as medium groups and romantic dates. The seafood laska is very good, the citrus roti is a must.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Wellington. The food is consistently very good, I have eaten here with friends, with business associates and for a romantic meal with my boyfriend.

You can easily walk past this place without thinking to step inside and take a peak, which I've done many times. One evening though due to a family dinner this was the choice of restaurant. It's warm, inviting, and the space is big and caters to a quiet romantic evening to a vocal cocktail catch up. Ambience and food go hand in hand. Both at a high standard. I ordered the scallop and squid linguini, flavoursome and just the right portion size. Not overly creamy like other pasta dishes I've had. My husband had the steak and polished off his plate. A nice evening. We ordered mains, a couple of sides and chips. The bill was very reasonable for the standard of food.

Right the middle of the CBD, in Lambton Quay area. Easy to reach, plenty of paid street parking spots (not during the peak hours though) and friendly, fast service. Staff are very helpful as well.
I usually go for a get-together with some friends and communities here, ordering mocktails and finger foods. Love their pizzas, calamari, and wedges.
Enough space upstairs and if we book, we can have the spot for ourselves. The tables for dining is down stairs. It has some outdoor chairs as well
The entrance has stairs on it so it might be tricky for those with wheelchair.
Our meals were delicious, had the pork belly and it was perfectly cooked. Apple crumble pie was divine and the cocktails very nice. All round a very enjoyable night

Have been to Juniper a number of times for cocktails and tapas after work. They have attentive service, quality drinks at a reasonable price, and a tidy and well prepared food menu. An easy recommendation.
Absolutely love coming to Juniper when in Wellington for work. The food is so tasty and the drinks are incredible! I had the Beef Cheeks which were so tender and flavoursome. The Honey Trap cocktail was just brilliant! Staff are so friendly and it is the perfect place to nip out and have a drink or bite to eat with friends or colleagues.
Great surroundings with top service, when you and the staff can crack a joke. The disappointment was none. The food that we ordered was of a quality equal to and above the expectations I had. That place is of great value and experience for dining.
Juniper was great! WOAP burger was delicious 9/10!! Lamb skewers were so good! Cocktails were great! Will definitely go back!

Without doubt the best steak I've had in Wellington and likely the entire country (which came as a complete surprise given the amount of eateries here that pride themselves on steak). Very friendly service, wonderfully accommodating of dietary requirements and incredible food. Visiting from Auckland but I will be back! Thank you for the great meal and hospitality!!

Came here for dinner recently and they were super busy with an event on nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing! Best steak I've had in a long time. Cant wait to come back!
This restaurant was a very pleasant find on the spur of the moment. There is a comprehensive cocktail and drinks menu and they specialise in many types of gin. The menu was a one pager, with an excellent mix of red and white meats as well as vegetarian and vegan options, mostly with a western style. The food was amazing, fresh, well presented and portion sizes were good, but not over the top. Had the beef cheeks, totally recommend, my wife had a chicken dish which was also delicious (had a small taste 😉.) The prices are reasonable and the service was friendly and helpful. Wait times were not extensive. Great layout and although looks deceptively small it opens out into a reasonably sized split level affair. Absolutely recommend this restarant, will go again.
