For a mere $10 you can buy the super falafel... and all your falafel dreams will come true. Words cannot even begin to describe how much it will delight young and old alike. There are gherkins involved. GHERKINS. 😍
Just the best Kebab in New Zealand. Friendly staff and perfect food every time! Love it.
One can drive a truck through the gap that separates a good kebab from a bad one. This and the sister (well, son actually) shop in Cuba St stand alone in Wgtn when it comes to Lebanese food.
Not a sliver of raw onion, no brown-fringed lettuce, not a glimpse of 'mystery meat' dog roll anywhere to be seen.
This is real food. Home cooked, with real spices, served with tasty condiments. It's the only take-away I can have without worrying about my food intolerances.
The lamb is backstrap, melts in your mouth, makes you feel good about life. As for the home-made sausages...even my own (Italian) mother, possibly the world's toughest sausage-critic, gave these puppies a raised eyebrow and almost a smile. That's some praise!
The vine leaves leave you with no doubt that Mamma's been doing this a while, and I dare you to try a blind tasting of one of these morsels against any other wannabe from any restaurant or deli.
And if you think (like I used to ) that Baclava is nothing but a drowning mess of pastry, butter, honey and ho-hum, save yourself some space for one. Delish!
The most authentic Arabic shish tawouk and falafel you can get in New Zealand. If you want to have a lovely conversation too, then that’s a priceless bonus that I can’t get enough of from the awesome experiences Lebanese owners & chefs ❤️
A Wellington institution that has amazing fresh made food. Reasonable priced, good ingredients, nice selection and options. The Lamb Shish is so good.
Shaheen's Little World

We had chicken and mutton shawarma The taste was nice and delicious just wat we were looking for but the price was a lil extra keeping in mind there wasn't alot of optional filling inside or any sides with the shawarma. I would go there again though to try other stuffs cz the taste was good
Food great, service grumpy. Delightful cinnamon in the falafel.
The food here is outstanding and authentically Lebanese. I grew up eating Lebanese food (made by my Lebanese immigrant grandmother and other family) and there is nowhere else you can get Lebanese food like this in Wellington (eg kibbeh balls, Lebanese spinach and feta pies, Lebanese style vine leaves). Other Middle Eastern food in Wellington is generic and westernised. The hummus is the best I have ever tasted (and I have travelled throughout the Middle East). I expect the negative reviews are from people who are expecting food like you get from generic kebab shops.
I ate two kebabs here in one sitting and regret nothing
Good honest food, always enjoy any meal I've had there. I think Lebanese food is very nice and the married couple and their family work there, it has been a unique place for along time in Wellington.
Great food, laid back atmosphere.
Delicious authentic Lebanese food. I’m not even Lebanese but I felt like my long-lost Lebanese mum made me food after a long day at school. Lovely stuff. Shukren, Yola.
Flavors that hit close to home and the ambience that makes takes you back to Beirut. I am so happy to have stumbled across this place. Do not be afraid to explore the tastes they offer.
lovely little place with a great owner, food is fantastic. The kibe balls are a little pricey but about the same as a deli scotch egg and only slightly less filling and much more delicious
Great food with authentic Arabic taste.
