When restaurant show how the chef make their own noodles, it is legit 👍👍
1st time here, best noodles (classic la mein (lanzhou noodle)) I had, but can't leave it soaking too long as texture will change. Meat was super soft. Overall flavour not quite as good as noodle place down the road, but noodle texture was top notch. Pan fried dumpling skin was also excellent, filling was average. Fast service, minutes for food to come out, but it wasn't busy.
Prices are getting up there, $20 for noodle dish. Can't compete with Auckland prices and taste.
I only visit for the hand pulled noodles. I've tried the braised beef noodle soup, beef sour cabbage soup noodles and spicy dry mixed wide noodles. I recommend them all lol. The soup noodles are very hearty and great for a cold night.
Had always assumed this was another smorgasbord place on Courtenay place, but recently they’ve added hand pulled noodles onto the menu. Ordered the braised beef noodle soup and classic lanzhou noodle soup, both were really delicious. We could opt for a wider noodle than what was pictured. Also tried the Taiwan sausage which was nice too. Unfortunately the tea egg we got wasn’t well cooked and didn’t have a lot of flavour. Overall nice noodles and would come back.
I saw the recent reviews and thought “Yay let’s see how truly bad this is”.. I ordered some hot chips, some red oil dumplings, and a chicken noodle dish.. it was delicious lol. 2 chef’s even brought my meal out with a huge smile and not a word of English. Priced fairly too.
The best and most authenic noodle I ever had in NZ. The people and the chef are very nice there. I will try every dish in the shop. Excellent😋😋😋

The pan-fried chicken and mushroom dumplings were soggy but tasted alright. The cabbage was dry and unnecessary, and the sauce was extremely sweet.
An exceptionally authentic flavor Lanzhou beef noodles soup! It was delicious and freshly made noodles. Responsible price and good service.
We had very authentic Lanzhou noodles for lunch and it was delicious! Not sure why so many bad reviews but the service was also top notch.
Fresh made on the spot noodles. Delicious. Reasonable priced, good service and very nice food. The noodles are a must try.
Love this place, amazing dumplings and very friendly staff. Best is chicken and pork dumplings in red oil. Opening hours are very convenient for someone who works odd hours. Regardless, the dumplings speak for themselves, try them, you won't regret it.
Dramas will be on and on especially your location. I have tried your food after times walking past Courtney Place/used to be the place I liked to hang out with my Gangs...per so far they are not close to me (anymore). Tho I still come around occasionally to find the good vibe once it was when they were nearby. New and fresh face you are. Anyway food was good the noodle was in my opinion "fresh", fresh foods producing in a day and sell out in a day will be the best of the best and sure I will come back/check again for more experiences. Keep it up with positivity.
