Such a neat little cafe located on the corner. The coffee is superb! And our breakfast (I had Eggs Benedict) was delicious! A great place to start your day.
Had breakfast and the special fruit tea Loved it .Thx Team .
Been there twice. Coffee is the main reason I go there. Friendly staff as well.
Coffee and service here are en pointe! Ordered a almond croissant but I mistakenly asked for it heated... I think it was probably heated a bit too long when the corners cooled they were on the dry/hard side. Happy to overlook the accidental over heating due to the pleasant staff and bangin coffee. Recommend this place for your next cuppa joe. β
I like this place. It's always clean and the food and coffee is generally good. Was disappointed today when we were the first to arrive for lunch, but the last ones to get our food. Service is always polite and accomodating, but it was slow today and the eggs bene didn't have the hash browns so had to be sent back which made the wait longer.
I've been meaning to try the food and coffee in this place for quite awhile as I live nearby (moved here recently from Auckland) and finally got the opportunity to today. I love the feel of the place especially the lighting!(hence the photos lol) I came in at just before lunchtime on a weekday so it was fairly quiet. Had soy flat white which had just the right amount of froth, tasted really nice but nothing special. No complaints cause I'm not very fussy with my flat whites. I paired my coffee with a chocolate doughnut which was really good(one of the better ones I've had in awhile as only been eating Dunkin Donuts in Auckland lol) and tasted really nice, soft and chewy and just the right amount of sweetness. It went really well with my coffee. Also, looking out to Riddiford Street and all its interesting characters made for an overall wonderful experience. Would definitely come back here to try some more of the cabinet food which looks lovely. Wednesday morning well spent.
Me and my partner had Eggs Benedict with coffee. Despite them being busy, the staff was really friendly and made my day. Had to wait approximately 5 min for the breakfast to arrive but it was worth waiting for. Thanks Rubia staff for giving me an awesome Sunday breakfast and making such a nice breakfast. Will see you soon, best breakfast in town. πππππππ
Hands down the Best spinach and feta muffin I've had so far . The green smoothie was yummy too. Very affordable little cafe with great food.
I got some great counter food a while back and always intended to come in for breakfast. A recent visit to the hospital provided the opportunity and I was not disappointed at all. The breakfast was perfect and at a great price, great coffee and amazing service from the team. A good balance of menu and counter food and a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Ill definitely be back for more.
Such an inspiring location that the experience disappoints a little. Food looks great (tho we never had any this time). Coffee was good but not great. Service good, but lose a point for not adding the sugar as ordered. Worth the visit though. Thanks.

A small place that exudes coziness and warmth, and I can't help but share my love for it. This cafe has become a go-to spot for me, especially on Sunday mornings when I crave a comforting start to the day.
It's the kind of place where you can comfortably spend hours lost in a book or simply enjoying your drink.
And speaking of drinks, their Chai Latte with coconut milk is an absolute delight! It's evident that the baristas here take their craft seriously, as they've managed to create a Chai Latte that perfectly matches my preferences. The chai is rich and fragant, and the balance of spices is just right. I can confidently say that it's one of the best Chai Lattes I've had in Wellington.
Apart from their Chai Latte, their menu offers a decent selection of pastries and light breakfast options, perfect for a relaxed Sunday morning. The staff is friendly and attentive, which enhances the overall experience. Whether you're a solo visitor seeking solitude or meeting up with friends for a laid-back catch-up session, this place caters to all with its cozy and intimate setting.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a small cafe to spend a peaceful Sunday morning, this place is an absolute must-visit.
Cafe is a nice cozy place in Newtown. Very disappointed with the food. The nachos is nothing much apart from beans & nacho chips- Vegetarian nachos, chicken pieces & nachos with π₯ on the side. The Croissant π₯ bacon, cheese & egg was really really good. The Belgium & White hot Chocolate was yummyπ
Good chilled out time with my partner & his sister. π€ποΈ
Ordered long black, latte, eggs benne with bacon and an eggs benne with salmon.
The coffees were great, the hollandaise sauce was quite a lot and wasnβt that creamy in flavour and there wasnβt much bacon. The salmon tasted nice and fresh and the poached eggs were done just right.
Cafe is in a great building.
Good coffee, and the bacon and eggs were tasty. Perfect.poached eggs and crispy bacon
Really cool ambience, nice place to relax and meet up friends for a catch up. Will visit again for sure!
Definitely recommended.
I could not fault this little gem of a cafe. The food was amazing. The staff very friendly and the atmosphere was homely
The location is cool, inside's not that spacious but cozy. I liked their chips and hot chocolate.
Cute understated corner cafe, perfect for a small bite and coffee. Staff were really sweet and accommodating, my chai was delicious.
Nice food, moist carrot cake, good honey ginger & lemon drink. Hash browns a bit too greasy for me.
Great stop for weekend treats! Make sure you try their scrumptious lemon cake slice!
Nice relaxing place to enjoy a delicious coffee and peppermint tea. Situated on a lovely spot as we watch traffic go by. Totally supportive of FENZ
