Ordered takeaway, best place for Indian food in karori. Things to try Murg Sala if you can handle your spice and chicken biryani. Sweets on offer are also quite good.
Flavours in Marsden village does the best takeaway food in Karori. The mixed platter and lamb cutlets were superb, the curries were delicious.
The service was quick, with the food very well packaged, generous quantities and hot. I highly recommend this place.
Superb food !! One of the best Indian place in Wellington.
Staff was so police and nice to us.
Would definitely go there once in a month. No Doubt !!
Who says you need to head into town or across town to get a good, decent and reliable curry out in the Western suburbs?
I was definitely impressed with the food that we ordered here. Â Not only was it fresh (cooked to order) but very tasty. Â Â
We arrived in the evening for dinner where we saw one table occupied. I immediately thought the food is would not be that good. Â We sat and ordered a couple of things to share. Â During our time there groups of people started to arrive, filling the restaurant. Â Our food came out fairly quickly which was a bonus.
Was very impressed with the food, the tandoori platter which we ordered were succulent and tasty, the naan bread that we ordered was light and fluffy. Â Other restaurants you can get naan that is over baked where its crispy instead of that nice soft fresh texture you get that is great to dip into your curry.

Lovely little place, tucked away and with a lovely homely feeling. Staff are super friendly and attentive, and the meals are delicious and reasonably priced. This is a place I can bring people for dinner and always feel confident that we will have an excellent experience.
This is a restaurant that is easily missed and forgotten - it shouldn't be. Although Karori is well served by take-aways there are fewer restaurants except for those associated with local pubs. Sure, Planet Spice has goat curry, Little India has plenty of seats and great service and Great India tries to go one up on the rest. However for a straightforward, good quality indian, if you live in the neighbourhood, I can't see much point in going past Flavours unless you feel like a night out in the CBD.Â
The service is very good, always reasonably fast and friendly. There are lots of reminders of its long lamented Fog City past, and a classic, very red, slightly over the top decor. The central fire offers a visual cheeriness when its cold outside and sitting next to it with a 700ml Kingfisher sets one up for the meal to follow. The menu is comprehensive - although the menu print styles (art nouveau) always strikes me as peculiar for an Indian restaurant. For two we generally go for one of the platters, or the lollipop, then a curry with palak paneer, dal Makhani, side dish platter and  breads - either naan or paratha. The quality of the food is always good - as good as the CBD. They also do a nice kulfi as well Gulab Jamen.Flavours is kid friendly.
We recently took out an older lady who had never eaten an Indian meal - "too spicy that sort of stuff" - A night at Flavours convinced her otherwise - she bought an Indian cookery book the next day at Marsden Books. If you live locally you should have been already and if not I think you should. If you live across town - do you want a night out in Karori?
Best Indian restaurant in Wellington.
We go there at least once a week.
Great quality food, very generous quantity and great service.
Warm flannels to wash our hands.
Very reasonable prices.
Went there tonight, we were impressed by the prompt and professional service, warm flannels to wash our hands.
The waitress offered us a chocolate naan as an entree... Odd? Yes. Delicious? Yes!!
I had the butter chicken, and the paneer naan, the butter chicken was rich and smokey and just beautiful, the paneer Naan had a rich flavour, and went really well with the butter chicken.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and we will definitely be back.
Been going to flavours for a while when we feel like a good curry, they definitely do the best curry in Karori region.
Went there this evening for a takeaway meal.. 2 curries,(2 rice) 2 onion bhaji & 2 bread (came to about $50)
The decor has been refreshed, the staff were friendly but my favourite part was when the chef came out with 2 mini naan breads purposely made for my 3 1/2 year old, free of charge!
Was wonderfully done and my child felt so special!
As usual the meals were delicious and as usual there plenty left for lunch tomorrow too!
Have recommended and will continue to do so.
Oh and the medium is perfectly spiced, if you like a bit of heat but not too much to struggle to eat it then I would recommend it.
We came on 28 October and did thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the hospitality. It was very welcoming, professional and first class service.
It was no booking but the host was very welcoming to accommodate us and our needs.
We will come again to enjoy the environment and the food and service.
Once again thank you so much. Look forward to seeing you again.
My partner and I eat at Flavours at least once a week. Ever since we first dined at Flavours it has been our favourite local restaurant and takeaway. The food is great (especially the chicken lollypops)and the service is efficient and polite. The only problem we have found is that the meals are too big, so after trial and error we have discovered that one curry and one starter between us is the perfect amount. If we are especially hungry we order more and usually pay between $26 and $50 for two.
Flavours is our favourite local restaurant - the chicken soula and saag ghosh (not sure about the spelling?) are great, the staff are friendly and warm surroundings are perfect for a winter treat.

Great place to dine in, and a delicious takeway menu option, best butter chicken in wellington by far :)
I had stereotyped flavours as a typical "Indian Takeaway", and generally I don't enjoy Indian food. Therefore I was pleasantly surprised when I really enjoyed my meal. I have subsequently been back many times - long may it continue. I try a different dish each time and have yet to be dissapointed, the service is consistently prompt, efficient and friendly. Comfortable to eat at as well.
We are regulars, we eat there once or twice a fortnight. The Butter Chicken is the best in Wellington: tangy and succulent. It's a really cosy, casual place to go. Definitely try the Paneer Tikka.
Wonderful food, excellent service by Dixita she helped me to choose my curry asking me a few questions like what kind of test I like and she explained the spices and herbs they use to make different curry. I enjoy a lot. My partner she always comes for take away.
My best compliments to the Chefs for lovely food and awesome presenter who serve the customer best. Thanks Dixita. Hope I spell your name correct.
Best fish curry in Wellington. New owner is always onto it and making sure everything is running smoothly. Amazing flavours and so much variety. Great customer service. Very spacious place with ample of street parking. It ticks all the boxes. We had amazing curry night there. Can't wait to visit again. Keep up the good work people. You all are awesome😎
Lived in Karori all my life and have always loved everything about flavours. They make the best Curry’s in Wellington especially the chicken lavabdar. The staff is always friendly and the food has always been served quickly.
Great atmosphere, tidy, clean and welcoming. Friendly and efficient service and our young son always made to feel welcome. The best thing is the delicious food which is so reasonably priced that we can afford to visit often. The menu is so varied and we've never had a bad dish, or left feeling anything other than totally satisfied. Love that it's BYO, but they also have really well priced wine and a great Jaipur beer in big bottles. Can't speak highly enough of this restaurant that's become our new favouite, and nice and local.
Have been here a few times now ordering takeout. Their samosas are so good and love their curries! Going through each one to determine a favourite but the Lavabdar is a stand-out so far.
The food here is always fantastic, one of the best Indian restaurants in Wellington. The naan bread is especially good (particularly the chocolate naan!). Service always efficient and friendly.
Great service and great food. Overall a quality restaurant. The delivery was also soooo quick I think it has changed now as before it was slightly slower but it got to my house in 15 minutes of my order. Wow!
ps - the boy Woking there was sooo cute hehe
The waiter was great, food was great. Place looked a bit tired. Have been to better curry houses locally
