Wow what a hidden gem. The food was so delish, I have eaten kebab around the world and have to say this was the best. Such generous portions. Will be back again and again
Excellent food and service. The lamb meat is a must try - ask to fry the meat longer so you get the crispy edge. Very yummy!
Generous portion, salads are fresh and the hummus is tasty. Very reasonable price too.
Quick service and wallet friendly food. Perfect place to get lunch on a weekday. The doner kebabs and Turkish Burger kebabs are a must try. They have chicken, lamb, falfel and mixed option for all the dishes. The quantity is quite filling.

Great lamb shish and decent pricing. My go to for grilled meat around Lambton Quay. Decent Turkish coffee too. Open all day, which works for me and my late lunches.
UPDATE: Tried their standard lamb kebab. Not great - massively overloaded with salt.
Awesome dinner from here. Food was cooked perfectly and great value for money. Would recommend to anyone who fancies Turkish for dinner. Great service too
I have got to say the meat at this place is superb they really know how to marinate and cook it well. Even if you don't eat meat they have great delicious Vege options. I would say it is the best kebab place I have ever tried. Only reason it's short of 5 stars is the actual restaurant could do with an update.
This is a fantastic lunch place where the food is fantastic and so are the authentic owners. The meats are well made, the ingredients are fresh and the atmosphere is great.
The portions are also huge!
This was my 2nd stop in Eskander journey and to my delight this was better than my earlier experience. Though the salad and humus were average but the chicken was moist and to top it up the spices and the hot sauce - exactly what I was looking for. I had the food delivered in a take out container and I was surprised that chicken was still warm enough and moist. The bread wasnt to my liking but overall good taste and balance of protein and salads for a quick lunch.
One of the best kebab restaurant in Wellington! The staff are friendly, the place is clean and the food is great. My patner and I come here for lunch when ever we get a chance.
A kebab from Alaturka is now my preferred lunch when I"m working in Wellington. It was recommended to me by some coworkers, and they were so right.
The chicken satay kebab is my favourite. The chicken is so moist and tender - and flavourful! I don't know what they're doing  - but it's working.
I used to get my kebabs from Kebabs on Queen (in the Lambton Square foodcourt), but now I just can't bring myself to go back there. If I'm going to spend the money, it might as well be on the far superior option.Â
I have to admit that I don't like their chips though - they use shoestring fries which I'm not a fan of. I just get the kebab from Alaturka, then cross the road to Lambton Square if I want hot chips to go with it.
Sometimes I (half seriously) think that life would be perfect if I could have their kebabs for every meal. I'd probably get sick of it after awhile - but it would be an awesome few months while it lasted.
My husband & I stumbled upon this restaurant while vacationing in NZ (from the USA) & wandering down Lambton Quay at dinner time. What a nice surprise! We both had the salad meals (chicken, lamb) with garlic yogurt -- both were absolutely delicious! Generous portions at a reasonable price. The restaurant atmosphere is casual & unpretentious. The staff was friendly & the service great.
The most beautiful kebab that I have in Wellington and Porirua area. They have choices of falafel, chicken, or lamb. You can also have it combine for extra dollar.
I had salad and my friend had kakab. Both were super tasty, juicy and very filling. Best place to have kakab in central Wellington.

The best kebab in the whole city. U can get a twice amount of food with the same price for ordering a kebab instead of sushi or subway or McDonald. Damn too good

I love this place. Good food, nice people. The staff is friendly. It's a family based business and all of them work hard to provide a good service to the customers. If you like Turkish food or are keen to try and get to know some basics of Turkey just give it a try and go there.
Pretty authentic for new Zealand. Great food especially the kebabs and pizzas. Generous serving, great staff and fantastic value for money. The best in town.
Amazing place to have donor kaibab or some middle eastern food. It's not very expensive. The staff were friendly it's usually a very busy place during lunch. You might find a decent wait. Long queue. It's a definite recommendation from me.
This is one of the best Turkish restaurants in Wellington Central. I have visited many other Turkish places in Welly but this is the best one. The food is tastiest and so much in quantity in a very reasonable price in the heart of the city. The pictures are of Chicken Iskender and Chicken Shish Kebab. The food is fresh and very healthy. A must try spot in Wellington for a lunch or a dinner.
Loved this kebab shop. I had mixed meat salad - with less salad and extra meat and cheese! The chicken and lamb was tender and really tasty. Friendly and helpful service with attention to detail, giving you exactly what you want. Excellent value for money. Enjoyed the turkish music and lights.
