Everything from the service too the food was amazing, had the Thai fried rice and it was super yummy! would definitely come back and would recommend to my friends
Thought I'd finally stop in and sample the goods. Decent portion size for the price, upon request I received extra chilli sauce on the side. Flavourful and great value. Will return to sample the rest of the menu!

This is definitely the best Chinese Restaurant in Te Aro! What used to be Bamboo -- the new management/owners improved on their service, and food quality. As a family run business, I am happy that their little enterprise is winning more loyal customers, based on what I see -- having been a regular (yes, almost daily!) for several months now.
Some of my favourites are their Roast Duck on Rice -- perfectly roasted with succulent skin, moist on the inside and delicately flavoured. Their Hainan (some restaurants call it Hainanese) chicken is a bargain at $12.90 as well -- served with chicken broth, fried garlic rice, steamed pakchoy, and chili sauce! I had tried lots of their dishes on the menu, and they all stand out! I will review more of them when I have the time.
Hands down one of the best takeaway spots in Wellington for their chicken satay noodles and their student-friendly prices! Super fast service and crazy tasty fried noodles!! 10/10
What a nice find! An unpretentious Chinese restaurant serving delicious and tasty dishes. Had the pork ribs with garlic, homemade tofu with seafood, pickled vegetables with fish. All three dishes were yummy.
It was the second time that I've been there and was amazing! The staff are very friendly and very flexible with the menu. The portions are huge, you can easily share between two people.
I highly recommend the crispy pork on rice, it was so good! I'll return soon for sure 😊
Delicious food and not too expensive although TOP kitchen is in the center on Cuba St. After meal, go out and enjoy some drink on Cuba walking street !
Legitimately has possibly the best broth of all the hot pots. Lamb 2 flavour pot came with a huge amount of incredibly delicious chunks of lamb; a meal in of itself even before the plethora of generously portioned side dishes were delivered. Ca recommend.
Great authentic Chinese food. Taste is good. Volume is good. Price is reasonable. What else can I ask for? Maybe a heart warming smile on staff’s face? Haha. My son loved the Mapo tofu. Said it’s on his all time top 3 list.
I tried the deep fried squid, hot and sour soup and crispy roast pork on rice. I ordered too much, all was very tasty, the pork wasn't as crispy as hoped, restaurant very busy, need to possibly book a table, staff are so busy not time to personalize with anyone, good portions, decent prices, will definitely be back.

We got pork ribs with garlic. The flavor was outstanding. Chicken wings were fabulous.
Sweet n sour pork was to die for.

A very pleasant experience on the 1st day of Christmas. One of the few opened restaurants on the 25th of December. Despite adding 15% surcharge, which is fair for working during Christmas, the food was top notch.
The stuffed eggplant made my wife almost tear up due to pure joy during eating. The Kung Pao chicken wasn't exactly what I was used to, but this one was probably.prw authentic than I've eaten back at home. Also the dumplings were close to perfect.
Sitting at the window and watching people added some entertainment while eating. Almost like watching TV. Would definitely come again when visiting Wellington next time.

Despite being tiny, this place was completely packed with diners. The warm scent of soy sauce and sizzling noodles greets you when you open the door and whets your appetite. Do yourself a favour; skip the staple fried rice and roast pork, and go for the more exotic dishes offered. The back of the menu has a selection of house specials; se picked the beef tendon stew and homemade tofu, which were absolutely delectable. The stew was spicy and rich, packed with chunks of tendon that melt in your mouth. The tofu was just as enjoyable, with smooth tofu inside a delicious braised exterior. Both dishes came in generous portions.
Authentic delicious Chinese food. Got takeaway from Top Kitchen on Cuba street and food quality was really good. Their dumplings were great, beef black bean also really good. Restaurant is a little small but very popular and gets packed out.
Walked in and knew it would be great. It smelled delicious, ultra clean, bright, open kitchen with the chef working hard. Portions are quite big, a main could feed two but you really want to try different dishes here. Staff is very friendly and quick. Also rice is included and prices are reasonable. Try Black bean beef, Beef in Chili soup, Mapo Tofu, Stuffed Eggplant, Spicy Chicken, Honey Chicken, Sweet sour pork, sechuan beef, Salt& Pepper Squid. Skip the Pad Thai and pork dumplings

Menu is very long since they offer so many meals. Portions are big. Food taste really good. Authentic Chinese food! Price is very reasonable. Friendly staff.
Great food. Best in town in my opinion with great BBQ and the duck noodle soup is incredible. I've had close to 1/3 of the menu now, maybe more, but not a dish has been a failure yet.
