Tucked away in the hills of Wadestown is a wee cafe that you would miss if you blinked when driving by.

This place is cute. Light and airy atmosphere despite being really little.

They have a small menu and cabinet selection but it is varied enough to cater for most appetites.

The food itself was nice; I had a frittata and raspberry slice (both G/F). It was good cafe style food and I would eat there again.

They also do cheese rolls; my partner is from Otago and like most southerners, misses cheese rolls so if you're a southerner in need, this is a good option.

Coffee is from Bach. I like a strong flavour to my coffee and while it was drinkable, it didn't quite have the kick some inner city haunts have however not dying in a ditch over that.

Overall good experience. We took our food away so didn't experience the full service but seemed like friendly staff.

Parking isn't great in the area but well worth a go if your in this part of town and can stop off.

26/7/15: This little place has been here for a decade but I have always whizzed past on my way down the wadestown hill. Oddly coloured - orange and a cold lime - walls, with brown concrete floors. The colours, temperature and lack of decoration make it less than cosy.
One communal table and a few other tables for four.

Service was lovely - extremely helpful and attentive.

We ordered two trim caps - which were made with Bach espresso, they were good - good texture, and a mellow but nice depth of flavour. Because of that we also ordered two flat whites to follow. Perhaps we were coffeed out by then but the these seemed a bit thin.

The menu appeared to be good - I thought a lot of good breakfast plates. Several I fancied. However I can never go past mince on toast - and we ordered this to share on sourdough.

It came with a little packet of butter which given the observation that the mince covered the toast, I thought was both cutely intriguing and possibly pointless. The flavour, texture and seasoning of the mince was great- a really good and unexpected version of a newzild classic. This one had an italian edge - mince, onion, celery and tomato with an emphasis on origano I guess - it was delicious.

The counter food looked really good.

Overall the food and service were worth going back for. I think the decor needs a makeover. Warm walls, homely or even retro chic (wadestown isn't all stodgy) with heating would make a big difference to the idea of returning.

Great little pit stop along the Northern Walkway. Service with a smile and a great selection of delicious cakes and savoury foods. A welcome stop here provided the boost needed to walk up Weld St / Te Ahumairangi Hill.

I only got the cheese muffin but it was outstanding so I'll be sure to come back and try some of the other tasty treats I saw.

I had the best cheese scone in town this morning! Next time I’ll have a coffee with it too. Plus they’re open to everyone. Highly recommend

A great little Cafe with super cheese muffins and good backing vocals from the proprietor!! It is apparently a stretch for her to manage this cafe and her other commitments but it is to be hoped this place stays open - a real asset to Wadestown.

Had barley and bacon soup with toasted sour dough - just delicious on a miserable day. Great coffee, and scrummy cakes to finish. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Great cakes and coffee. Staff seem to be onto it, but service can be a little slow when all the young families swarm the place. Great neighbourhood coffee shop
