Nice food and enjoyed the service by staff
Bought some takeaways, tried the biryani and kebabs. The food was just average and could have been much better. The portion size for the kebabs are quite small and is priced high. Friendly staff and service.
Probably a more commercialised Indian meal than other Indian restaurants. Pasanda is good. Friends have loved their biriyani. Decor is getting outdated but worth the price they charge overall.
My family loves the food at Tulsi, which is why we continue coming back. My cuzin is gluten-free & vegan so it usually makes going out to eat as a family a bit of a challenge. Tulsi does their best to accommodate our family's dietary restrictions and therefore we have become loyal regulars. From our experiences of dining at Tulsi, we usually recommend asking for the kid's mains to come out before the rest of the meal as it does take a bit of time. We have found that to be the secret ingredient to a happy family dinner at Tulsi.
Our son lives in Wellington so on our visits he takes us to places he has found can accommodate his and his partners requirements for gluten and dairy free. Our first time to Tulsi was in September, the food was superb, but it is also topped off with a very pleasant dining area and absolutely superb service. We have just visited again 21 November, again, the entire experience is something that not a lot of restaurants can give you. Attention to detail, (essential if there are dietary requirements) helpful, and the food again was wonderful. We will be keen to return in December and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a fantastic dining experience, there is an extensive selection of dishes and you come away feeling well looked after.
My partner & I are gluten free and I am additionally dairy free also.
Our first visit in July this year was to arrange a birthday dinner for me at a restaurant that catered to our dietary requirements.
They were not only extremely happy and patient to all my questions, before even booking, but also once we arrived their service was superb!!
We have since dined there 4 times, taking various family members there because of our first experience and also had takeout.
Basically excellent cuisine, superior service and caters for all!!

My partner and I come here on the occasional evening for quiet,relaxing curry/beer post-work wind down dates.The food is yum.The atmophere is great,decor is stylish,expect comfortable seating,fairly decent drink selection,sparkling bathroom.Tentative,friendly service,Suitable for vegetarians/vegans/meat eaters.Good for families/birthdays etc.All in all,lovely classic Indian restaurant. Recommended :)
This is our local, and we love popping down every other weekend. The service is great, staff is super friendly and welcoming. In particular, the frontstaff treat you like family and we love catching up with him whenever we go get dinner. It’s always a pleasure :)
THE BEST Indian food I've ever had. The manager is the sweetest, funniest man. He made the experience even better. Highly recommended.
The new manager is personality-kid who makes you feel welcome and special. The food seems better now too, with a richness to the sauces and nicely cooked meat or paneer. Of course it’s authentic Indian, with lots and lots of options on the menu. Oh yes….and the decor and ambience is super nice too.
Visiting Wellington from Palmerston North and I must say, BEST Butter chicken I've had. The sauce tasted rich, the meat succulent and the nann bread was very tasteful. AND to top it all off we had a WONDERFUL host/waiter/comedian/manager. Awesome night with a awesome meal. highly recommended👍
Tonight was like usual, really great weekend dinner. My little girls reckon it’s the best mango lassi drinks of anywhere…..and they are hard critics. They also loved the korma.

I ordered an Aloo Paratha and Paneer Tikka from Tulsi through Uber Eats. Unfortunately, I received the wrong order. I contacted the restaurant immediately and although I was quite annoyed at not receiving my order, they dealt with the situation professionally. Very prudently, they had written my name on the delivery bag and left a receipt with my name and item listing inside the bag and the delivery driver had overlooked this and gave me the bag for another order (presumably from a different Indian restaurant who don't write the customer's name on the bag or provide a receipt).
The restaurant then contacted UberEats and promptly organised a refund. I contacted UberEats to ensure that only the driver was penalised and not the restaurant, as neither the restaurant or I were at fault.
Whilst I didn't get the my order as intended, I think the restaurant handled this very well and left no uncertainty that this was purely the fault of the Uber driver, and I'd be happy to shop with them again, although next time perhaps dine-in will be preferable.
Have always had a pleasant meal and experience here. Waiter is extremely friendly always and remembers his guest.
Food is always amazing and fresh.The thai green curry is awesome, hubby loves the lamb korma.
Good place for a quick curry in a hurry, would eat again (even if Ben & Thelvin fight over it, and even if Frances refuses it)
Ordered from takeaway menu Rogan Josh, Butter chicken with buttered Roti and Coconut Rice. Dining in option available as well as takeaway. Good for larger groups, families, couples or if you want to eat on ya own 😆. Nice and clean, staff were attentive and would order food from here again. I had been to their Johnsonville restaurant and had the same helpings and found it to be consistent with what I tasted in this miramar store apart from the Rogan Josh was slightly different to my palette although its the same recipes I was told flavor or taste could have slight variation from store to store with different chefs cooking.
Lovely ambience. Friendly service. Great food. Love their shared platters for two as entrees. And they have marsala tea (the real stuff) if you ask for it!
I have a soft spot for Tulsi, i know its not 'geniuine' indian cuisine so to speak, and ive had an amazing curry cooked properly by fijian indians, but i still enjoy tulsi for what it is. Here youll get good service, affordeable food, and to me it tastes great.
