A rare find…hand cut English chippy style chips. A thing of beauty! The fish burger was a solid piece of white fish, a steal for the price. Treasure this place.
Great for chips in the beach, we usually avoid the fish and just get the house made spring rolls, which are a good time. Also the donuts are great.
Good size for single scoop chips and fish. Tasted very good! Fish was soft, but, some chips were a bit big to my preference. Won't be disappointed 👍
The food here won’t blow you away but it is certainly well above average for a Fish n Chip shop, 4 out of 5. The Chicken Burger is however one of the best I’ve ever had which elevates this place to 5 stars for me 👍🏻
We brought hot chips, 2 scoops made with real potatoes, and nice big chips, and 3 drinks which cost about , 26.00, lovely chips we enjoyed them and our drinks, great place we will go back again. Really enjoyed it.

A classic New Zealand Fish and chips takeaway shop. With the exception that they are the CEO of Nz Chicken Burgers! Make sure you grab one of those and one for the second helping!

Recently stopped in based on some friends’ hyperbolic claims of the best burger in Wellington. Having tried both the fish burger and the Seaview Chicken Burger I’d have to say the burgers are indeed excellent but far from the best. In terms of size, they’d be tough to beat, the chicken burger in particular was so massive I had my doubts that any normal chook could produce a pattie this size. However, size isn’t everything and the other burger fillings are fairly generic. I would have definitely appreciated a dash of hot sauce, a slice of cheese or a pickle… anything to add a touch of sharpness. However, for a nondescript seaside chippy, you could do a heck of a lot worse.
These fish and chips, fish is always fresh and decent sized and their chicken chow mein with thick noodles is one of the best we’ve had. Always have great customer service. I recommend calling and ordering as they get very busy! Great shop will continue my hike out to get these!

I have been going here for 38 years, it started with my dad and when he passed away I still find myself with fond memories of the smiling faces and top notch fish and chips and amazing chinese meals and even better thick shakes.
If you are passing Lyall Bay treat yourself and go sit on the sea wall and watch the waves.
