Great food and service. The place is great for dining. Clean facility and service with a smile. All the food that we've ordered were perfectly cooked, with great taste of fresh ingredients. We've started with a shared mixed platter. This was a combination of fried hoki bites, spring roll, squid and onion rings, chips and wedges, and chicken nuggets. There were four sauces included (tomato, mayo, sweet chili, and bbq). What is special about this? Freshly cooked and perfect seasoning. The mains were Chicken Tikka masala, and Kadai Panner plus naan bread (yummy). Also ordered Kiwi Scotch sizzler, Low and slow rib sizzler, and surf and turf sizzler. The smokiness and flavour were delicious. To finish, we had creme brulee which also had a balance flavour. Mama sizzler is centrally located in Johnsonville and accessible both via public transport or driving. If you run out of parking, try the nearby shopping complex.

We had a Lamb, a Surf and Turf, a Garlic Tandoori sizzlers and Harissa potatoes. The food was absolutely delicious! The dishes certainly came out sizzling. As a result, unfortunately some of my photos are a bit hazy with the smoke. For dessert, we shared a sizzling brownie and a crème brûlée. The brownie came sizzling just as described. It was impressive to see. My friends seemed to enjoy it. However, the crème brûlée was really disappointing as the top hard caramel part was not done properly. I had a spoonful of sugar in my mouth to start with and there was more left on the surface. Four of us agreed that the layer of caramelized sugar was too thick. Now we know what to avoid ordering next time. It was a shame as the main dishes and harissa potatoes from entree were really good! We also enjoyed the Pinot Gris they have. We would definitely go back here for the sizzlers and the wine.

First time to try Mama’s Sizzler, we ordered ribs, garlic tikka, chicken saagwala, garlic naan, lava cake, and mochaccino. Food was presented well. We enjoyed the food as well. Only comment was ribs a bit dry. The chicken saagwala and garlic tikka didn’t fail.

Love everything we ate here! The appetising taste and the big serving of starters made us already satiated (that we didn’t order the mains anymore). Even the cocktails and desserts were yum! The excellent service and the friendly staff added to this good dining experience. Will definitely be back. :)

Went there for the regular catch up with my former colleagues. We went for these starters (chicken, calamari, spring rolls & nachos). We were all full by the time we finished them. 😊🤭🫧 Their cocktails were all deliciously flavoured you might want to get an extra drink. Servings were generous & I would say worth every penny. A must-visit restaurant in Johnsonville. Great job to the chef & staff! Btw, you can also find them in Doordash if you’re thinking of delivery. My family & I tried most of the dishes in the menu when we needed to isolate ourselves.

Extremely good food at a very affordable price. We got the onion rings, pork belly, garlic tikka with garlic naan, lamb rack and seafood platter. Everything was good. Would definitely come back again.

Very quiet the day we visited for lunch, but excellent service, comfortable booth seating and a great choice of food. Everything we selected was very well presented and tasted excellent. Big portions. Very good value.

This is a little reasonably priced secret tucked away in Johnsonville. It’s rare to find a restaurant with 4.9 stars considering that it’s not easy to please all the people all the time. Mama’s Sizzler does a good job trying to please everybody. The menu is a good mix of Asian Indian and Western fare. I had a lamb rack and the presentation was pure theatre. The plate was sizzling hot. Literally steaming and roaring. My partner had chicken khorma. She says she’s had better but with discounts on a Thursday it was worth it. Seating is a mix of traditional tables and circular sofa benches. Give it a try. After our escape from reality we could quickly nip into close by Countdown.

I always enjoy the cozy soft booths for a quiet lunch and I can see they are settling in to the new menu at the moment. I had an eggs benedict which was average for presentation but very tasty. They also still know how to make a great curry and have their own tandoor on site. I had my eggs benny again and presentation was right up there and as tasty as ever. Their Lava cake is quite the experience too. Takes 15mins to prepare which gives you time to make room for it. Yum.
