A great place for an ice-cream if you're passing on a hot day. Whananaki is a pretty place and the winding road is a lovely drive with the roof down on your cabriolet.

Well stocked shop and NZ post.ooen 7 days a week until 8pm. Cafe serves very tasty and reasonable priced food. Giant burger or sandwich $8.

The lady in there friendly it's a little store so not much space in there but enough to walk around in a single line, has quiet a lot to offer, takeaways take a little while to cook but that was only because it was busy & they had only 1 worker but we didn't mind looking around, nice private outdoor
