The food here is very very good. I especially like the Iskenders, good value for money. To me this is the best Turkish restaurant in town, if you’re visiting here please try here first. Next doors kebab shop is ok but not as nice as this one. .

We had the most tasty kebabs from here. The owner seems to take great pride in service and the ingredients are fresh and delicious. Better that most kebab shops in Wellington.

Clean and well run. Meat content of my $19 iskander was a little.. thin on the ground. The meat was over cooked. Reasonable value for money.

Very friendly service, very fresh, meat hot & juicy, very nicely presented. Yip furnishings a wee bit tired but food quality easily made up for the well used surroundings, don't let that put you off. Would definitely go there again.

Excellent food. We dropped in late and this place was calling to us. The food was really good authentic Turkish, the flavour combinations were excellent
First time taking my kids to try Turkish food and honestly couldn't pick a better place the food is always so beautiful there and the whole atmosphere
Update April 2022: The decor has been brightened, while keeping the place warm and homely. The imported drinks have gone, but the selection is still good. Food quality is still excellent. I would rate higher if I could, as it has improved beyond the previous high standard.
Of special note, we observed the owner going above and beyond to accommodate a customer in a wheelchair.
Definitely a good choice for lunch.
Old review: Don't judge by the faded decor, the food was delicious and expertly prepared, the customer service was excellent, and the imported drinks were yummy too.
Purchased a lamb iskender for lunch 4 days ago. Good portion size and fresh ingredients. Delicious lamb and filled me up for lunch dinner. Turkish restaurant owner was friendly.
