First timers to Hilltop and we were not disappointed at all. My husband is gluten free and he enjoyed his fish very much. Beautiful nice sized battered fish. Chips well drained and very little grease. The buffet was scrumptious and there was a variety to choose from. Definitely a place we will continue to return too. Customer service was excellent and wasn't waiting to long for order. Thank you very much 👌
Just delicious, fish was fresh, had snapper and warehou, battered and crumbed , cooked to perfection, and great chips too. Recommend.
We don't live in Wanganui, but when we come to town and they are open before we leave we call in there to buy our lunch. The best fish and chips ever, never had a bad meal from them. The staff are always happy and polite, the shop is clean and the food is delicious. What more can you ask for.
This is my local for f&c and I'm never disappointed. Crumbed fillets are reliably fresh and generous in size, chips are good, and prices are reasonable.
Good fish and chips find. Highly recommend the corn fritters and scallops, the fish had nice texture and the seasoned wedges were great. Would return next time we travel through Whanganui. Note their signage outside just says hilltop fish & chips.
Excellent fish, chips and spring rolls (which I believe are made in house). Also lovely service in person and on the phone.

Delicious meal - great Chinese & yummy steak fritters too. Just a bit slow but they were very busy. Would definitely go again.
Love their Chinese dishes especially their noodles, a bit pricey when they all add up. Their chips can be dry..
Always enjoy lovely fish and chips and a springroll with occasional oysters and scallops..great friendly service..just the best
