Good food, friendly service, and reasonably priced. This place is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant with fresh ingredient. I highly recommend this place, but can be busy around dinner time.

Had the pan-fried spicy lamb with rice, and it was superb. Portion was filling and the accompanying clear soup was flavourful. Place was rather clean and had a laid back vibe to it. Plenty of parking all around the vicinity. A must visit if you are in Whangarei and looking for a good meal.

Absolutely delicious food and excellent, friendly service! Came here last night as I was here for work. Highly recommend it for those visiting Whangarei 👌 the pho with cooked beef and tripe was outstanding with a very flavorsome broth. The fried noodles were packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. The donuts were like little heavenly cushions.

We found this restaurant after a tired trip. The service was good. We ordered smoked salmon summer roll and chilli mussel for starter, they were highly recommended. After having a mouthful of pho soup, I felt warmer. although the fried rice was a little salty, the tasty was good.

Solid option with a broad menu for Vietnamese in Whangarei. We’ve been traveling for some time and hadn’t seen Vietnamese on in the last year, so it was a welcome treat! We ordered the pho ga, and the vermicelli noodle salad. The vermicelli noodle salad was a bit on the oily side, but other than that it hit the spot.

We have been a few times to this restaurant. Food is delicious and fresh. Sometimes food can take a while to arrive at your table, but it is worth the wait.

Full house on both visits over 2 weeks, this speaks for itself. Servings of food, on each visit, for different items were generous, piping hot and close to what to expect … except mint leaves.

I was really looking forward to having some pho on a rainy winter day. It was less full than I've usually seen it in here, but didn't see anyone working tables so I ordered at the counter. Staff was friendly and was easily able to make a substitution in a dish. I received a tasty soup within a few minutes. I'm not sure I'd call it pho, however. It tasted like a European onion chicken broth soup without any of the traditional pho seasonings. I tasted no anise, cinnamon, fennel, coriander, cloves, or coriander. So, that was quite disappointing as we've had the lemongrass chicken before and that was quite good. Table looked like it hadn't been wiped in hours as well, which wasn't the most appealing, but I'm guessing they were just short-staffed.

We visited Mean's on a cold Sunday evening. The restaurant is small but it wasn't warm and a lot of the menu dishes are cold salad-like items. However, the waitress was very helpful and the food was delicious. These were lots of locals eating in and collecting takeaways so its obviously a popular spot. Prices were manageable and portions were very generous. Would definitely go back in the Summer

Never thought I'd have good Vietnamese food in Hamilton. The dishes looked and tasted fresh! It held its own character and had its own influence in flavour. Besides the weak Avocado shake and the overpriced Bahn Mi (living in Sydney and knowing the great ones here are $3-$5) the restaurant is well run and the owner is extra friendly and approachable. I personally got the Beef Vermicelli and it was on point. Would eat here again!

Quick serving, friendly staff and tasty food! Preferred vermicelli noodles than the pho. Would have liked larger portions given the price.
