I have been many a times to the Haveli ( South Indian Cuisine) and I satisfied every time with the quality of food and quantity as well. There are many types of sweets and snacks which I had for different taste. All of them are very good. Even I didn't found like this service and food somewhere else. I loved it. I suggest my friends ever to go there and have a good service and good taste.
Lots of people have reviewed this restaurant poorly and I'm not sure why. If you enjoy DOSAs, which are like Indian savory crepes, this is the only place in northland and the best place I have been to in New Zealand.
To be fair I have not had their buffet food. But their South Indian food (dosas with coconut chutney) is delicious and dairy free!
I suspect these reviews are unfairly one-sided by inexperienced foodies or people who prefer the more mainstream westernized Indian fare.
Very nice food, whole spice used. Great service, complimentary poppadoms! And very reasonable prices. Highly recommend. A++
They serve really good indian gravies...chat and dosa options could be skipped
