Schnappa Rock - Whangarei - Photo album

Great place for a meal with excellent food for a small town. Apparently Dean the chef just came 2nd in the NZ chef competition! Worth the time to stop enjoy the food and service and then have a wander around the park, shops and marina if you are driving past.
Beautiful setting, friendly table service and superb food! Will definitely be back! Absolutely delish!
We reserved seats late in the evening as we had a long day but they were still understanding and catered for us on a Sunday night! With the new covid rules, we could never tell how things would pan out, but the staff here are great and let us sit while we drove back for one vax pass. Aside the misha
Lunch for two to kick the new year off right (and soak up the remnants of the night before - the reviewer, not the driver). First timers at Schnappa Rock, so lovely, cute table, great vino, yum food, then we joined some friends to eat our dessert with - perfect!!
Great place to kick back and relax with a cold drink or two. Good seating areas both inside and outside. Good selection of drink and food. Views over the Tutukaka marina.
My burger was ok, some of our group got the fish of the day (snapper), some of that was under cooked and didn't seem fresh, nice atmosphere though and friendly staff :)
Went to lunch with my family and had the best fish and chips.... great service and friendly people.. will be back soon
Just passing through so very happy to find such a relaxing and classy venue. Excellent location, atmosphere and service. Live music on a Sunday afternoon topped the experience off so nicely.
The place is good and the food is good too. We went there twice while our trip to Tutukaka and both the tines we weren't disappointed. Once for an evening drink. We were greeted well and the ambiance was good. For lunch it was almost full for lunch. Food were yummy.
Really great atmosphere, service and food. We had Paua Wontons and Mussels to start (both delicious but would say mussels could have come out a bit hotter) and then the catch of the day which was nice and light. Would recommend when visiting Tutukaka, even if just for a drink, great setting and serv
I only stopped for drinks with friends this time, however my wife and I have eaten here before the refit. The food and service are both top class and there was a great buzz of excitement and bon homie on Saturday evening. A top location for Northland!
Nice little restaurant in the style of a boat themed restaurant. Prices are reasonable and the food quality is good, we had a fish dish, salad, bao buns and chips and they are all very nice. The place was about half full and the service was nice and fast.
The most beautiful birthday dinner. The paua dumplings are a must!! Service was wonderful.
Great restaurant and bar right on the marina. Food was very well cooked and tasted good. Coffee was nice and strong.
Really enjoyed this place sadly. A customer was rude and arrogant. I loved the Thai curry mussels yummy and I kept the curry to dunk my chips.
Great coffee! Came here for our caffeine fix both mornings we were in Tutukaka - coffee is locally roasted and yummy 👌 All the staff were welcoming and attentive, and it's a great location right on the marina with ample free street and carpark parking. Honestly, there's not much choice anyway in T
My wife and I ate at the restaurant Saturday evening 1st fo July 2023. It was busy and lively with a buzzy atmosphere. My wife asked for a cocktail that the barman had not heard of before so she found the recipe online and he was only to happy to make if for her. Had the 90 day aged sirloin of beef
Perfect place to take a breakfast or a lunch ! Meals are very tasty and beautiful. Nice view on the port. Well decorated. Very kind staff. I took the Smoked salmon toasted bagel, with cream cheese and micro greens ! It was awesome !! Next time I will try the Benedict Eggs ;)
