A great takeaway with a choice of several fresh fish either crumb or batter. Chips are crispy too. They get busy Friday evening so ring ahead to avoid a 30min wait.

I have moved from Auckland where I had my favourite fish and chip shop. I honestly didn't believe I would find anything like it in the rest of New Zealand. Not so! The fish n chips at Hook Inn amazed me - yep, a level above my favourite fish n chip outlet in Auckland. That's really saying something,
This fish Shop has tasty food and fresh wet fish. You can select the fish of your choice and have them cook it for you on-site or take home. I love the fresh flounder delivered 1-2 times per week from the Hokianga harbour. $24 approximately per kilo and worth it. Delicious. Friendly staff and clean
