You know those cafes you walk past and go "No probley not that great". This is one of those. However you will be rewarded with great food and coffee if you give it a chance. I popped in for breakfast before work today. The flat white was very good. Prompt, hot, and lovely.
The bagel was perfectly toasted with a good amount of a avocado and tomato slices. Both of which were fresh and tasty, and at just the right stage of ripeness. I will be back for sure.
I will say however that it could do with a makeover and more things in the cabinet for people popping in early to get something to take for lunch to eat later at work.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Don't judge a book by its cover. Lombardi's is not the most exciting looking cafe and the name is a tad confusing (it's not Italian), but the food was extremely tasty! Grab a table outside and take in the views of the open fields.

FOOD: I decided to go for the $10 lunch special and had the bacon and egg tart and a coffee. The tart was served with a side salad and topped with a creamy sauce. It was absolutely delicious... The tart was had a lovely smooth, creamy taste which complimented the saltiness of the bacon. Would totally have this again!

COFFEE: strong and very smooth. Just how I like it.

SERVICE: polite and quick to serve.

Even though the cafe lacked ambience or a definitive vibe, the food more than made up for it. If more thought is put into styling the cafe (ditch the name please!) then this could be a place worth venturing out to.

Reading some of the other comments I'm a little embarrassed for this cute little cafe! I found the staff really pleasant and enjoyable to be served by and have always enjoyed the meals that I have when I go there! My only recommendation would be to drop the prices a little as they are on the high side and I would expect to pay that price in Ponsonby or the viaduct

I always come in with my parents, and always order the garlic herb hash - it has to be the best thing on the menu! The cakes in the cabinet always look absolutely beautiful, not that I ever have any room to eat anything more, and the waitresses are lovely, and are always up for a chat with mum and I.

Popped in for a late lunch last week - got served a pie and a chicken thingy, both very nice: and the coffee was one of the better variety too. Got served by Bronny: now THERE's a girl who really knows her muffins. Overall impression - very good, but a bit too pricey for the quality: there's no excuse for charging $16 for a BLT. Will I return? Probably, but probably not before I've paid off the mortgage.

What a wonderful find! I travel through Whenuapai quite a lot and had always thought it a culinary desert but this place changes all that. Lovely fresh food, wicked desserts, excellent staff. Only downside is that the road outside can be a bit noisy as drivers ignore the speed limit. We decided that this would be one of our regular lunch spots.

I am running past this place on a regular basis and discovered today that they are now open on a Saturday and Sunday. After my 18km run I've decided that it is time to check out this place and it was worth it. Lombardi's is serving Altura Coffee with a smile, very tasty food and other yummy treats.

On the main street, plenty of lanes all having the different types of petrol and diesel. They can remove the bar on not filling up without going inside is good. Updated the interior also, donuts and good selection of pies and sandwiches. Car wash on site also

So yesterday after a long day I drop in to buy 2ltrs of milk and two coffees from my local station. The nice lady offered me a cup holder which was great, I proceed to leave getting to almost the door the milk slips I grab at it throwing the coffee and the milk spliting in the entrance way what a mess. Both the manager of the day and the lady were so good I offered to clean up and pay to get again they said accidents happen and replaced my goods and wouldnt let me help. It is so refreshing to find people in the service industry that put you first, I am a local I want to thank them and say it doesn't go unnoticed . You just got a very loyal customer and thanks again for your excellent customer service.

Above and beyond customer service, the station is always clean and tidy (inside & out). The coffees are on point every time, and the pies won’t disappoint you either. The few times i’ve visited during peak hours the staff do a great job of keeping your wait times as short as possible. My favourite fuel stop.

Wow! Well done BP you have the best employee ever! I'm talking about Naomi! I know Naom from BP Whangaparaoa where she was bubbly, friendly, always either singing or smiling. She is a hard and a fast worker! I like my coffee but I just don't order a regular coffee, she nailed it every time. When I would walk in, she would be so welcoming and would nod to the coffee machine and if I gave her the nod, she began making it for me. Customer excellence at its best! I have traveled the world and I can honestly said she is 5 star. However, she just vanished.... I hoped that maybe she had become a manager of another store and that would have been what I would have loved for her ( even though I missed her) But....last night we stopped in Whenuapai. To our delight she was there, same friendly, welcoming and wonderful person she is. Not only that, she remembered my coffee!!!! Top marks, I hope you all know how great she is! Thank you Naomi.

Standard range of fuels at slightly better than average prices. Clean tidy forecourt with water available, screen wash buckets at each lane of pumps. Easy ingress and ample off-street parking to do a little shopping - for munchies, other stuff, or to rest a while, Well presented pleasant helpful staff.

Don't really know how to review gas stations, but given this 4 stars as there is nothing to fault but their prices, they are typically much higher than others in the area despite having a gull across the road. On a positive side they have pretty good quality fuel that goes a lot further than other brands in my vehicle which sometimes makes it worth the extra you pay going to BP

This is hands down my favourite gas station in auckland. I get there very early in the morning 2-4 mornings a week to fill up my car or grab a coffee. Every morning without fail I am greeted cheerfully and personally by a lovely Maori woman called Margarey (sorry I think I may have spelt that wrong....I didn't want to stare too long at her name tag cause that would be weird lol) who makes me a wonderful coffee that sets me up for my day. She is amazing. Thanks for making a difference in my day. I see she has the same wonderful manner with all of the customers, but which is a rarity these days. I told my boyfriend he should swap gas stations. They are not so friendly at his one lol.Arohanui.

This is probably one of the best prices for gas/petrol in Auckland. Would go out of my way to come here due to having the AA Smartfuel Discounts PLUS cheaper everyday prices. Have saved a decent amount a few times now!

as a child I was asked on many occasions “what do you dream of doing” I never had a clear cut answer for who ever asked but as of the 6/6/21 I realised if I could go back in time to being a young man I could answer that troubling question that haunted me during my adolescent years “what do you dream of doing” well tonight I realised dreams really do come true. See tonight was no ordinary night! Whiskey was being poured, tunes were booming and positive energy was the strongest aroma that my friends and my selfs senses were receiving when a sudden craving came over me. “keto bar” I put my shoes on and walked in the torrential rain for no more than 60 meters before I was greeted by a customer service representative for Whenuapai BP “Naomi” I knew the item I wanted but if someone held a gun to my head and said “pick a flavour” I wouldn’t be writing this right now because I could not decide for the life of me what flavour. Naomi really set the standard for customer service the first thing I was greeted by was her welcoming smile and her friendly “can do” attitude. I made Naomi aware of the problem I faced in my quest for hunger satisfaction and she came to a solution. She read out individual flavours of said keto bars until I could decide. After the decision was made I left with a smile and a great appreciation for Naomi and people like her working this time of night to assist people at any time of night, rain or shine. So thank you BP and thank you Naomi for not only problem solving to eradicate my sweet tooth but for your welcoming store presentation and can do attitude.
