This is a quaint, low key, country pub , just around the corner from overpriced Wanaka. Service was excellent, food great with large portions, beautifully cooked blue cod and nice home made chips and lovely burger. Would definitely recommend but not for those who require the glamour of high priced, glittery restaurants.

Having seen an advert for the Prince Albert's Thursday night pub quiz, a group of us made the 10 minute drive over from Wanaka.
With ongoing construction next door, the pub didn't look anything special from the outside but we very pleasantly surprised once inside. It's a very large pub and there was a good crowd of both locals and tourists, perhaps the largest number of teams for a pub quiz that I've been involved in!
The quiz was modern, with a good mix of topics and large TV screens being used to facilitate this.
In terms of food, I had the fish and chips, which was good - particularly the chips.
All in all, if you're in Wanaka on a Thursday, I'd thoroughly recommend checking out the Prince Albert.
