Rating 4. Been here a few times for lunch now & every time the food had been delicious. The lunch menu is like different variations of poke bowls mashed together. My fav so far is the Bali bowl with beef brisket. It’s a little bit pricey for lunch salads, but it’s well worth it.
This chill cafe in the CBD specialises in wholesome, organic fare and are particularly know for their salad bowls.
I ordered the Bali bowl with crispy silken tofu, which came in three thick slabs. As always, I approached the tofu skeptically, but was please to find it had a delightfully crispy crust and was surprisingly flavoursome. It was complemented nicely with the zesty yet creamy lemongrass peanut satay sauce. In the bowl was also brown sticky rice, cabbage slaw, kumara crisps in top- all which worked together nicely. My only qualm was paying $16.90 for a salad of that size felt like a bit of a rip off. 8/10
Great coffee and nice place to visit if you're feeling peckish before work. The omelette I had was made perfectly with bacon and even tomato inside it.
I ordered the coffee in a takeaway cup, and the omelette also came out in a takeaway container. Each table had disposable cutlery. I found it hard to eat the omelette as the container got in the way and it was made even harder as the cutlery wasn't very practically designed. It's good that Misters is using environmentally friendly containers but itd be nicer if these environmentally friendly containers and cutlery were practical!
