We ordered the laksa and chow kuay tew which is pretty much like chow fun in Chinese cuisine.
Laksa - Decent ingredients and taste pretty good but it's not very authentic. It lacks of the 2 important ingredients: Shrimp paste and coconut milk. I mean it got coconut milk but not enough and the shrimp paste seemed to be absent. So it taste like curry soup instead. But it still taste good.
Kuay tew - Not bad. Again, it's not authentic but as chow fun, it taste pretty good. Most importantly it has wok air 鑊氣, another word flame flavor. When they did a good job in stir fry, you can taste the flame flavor. The seasoning was also good and not too oily. Good job!
The taste is not bad and pretty good for lunch. Pricing is ok, similar across the board. Plenty of options to pick from. Depending when you go, finding a table in the place could be a challenge. It wasn't for me as I went off peak, still busy with tourists. Definitely a good option and a place to explore as a tourist.
The laksa is a perfect blend of savoury and spicy.Highly recommended!
