I got the samosas and they were so good!! They do a great job and the food feels like home! I asked for 2 samosas and they gave me 3 for the same price which was a nice touch!
One of the best place in Christchurch to taste some amazing south Indian dishes. ( don't get me wrong, there are lot of north Indian options too)
Dosa is the must try dish here.

Ahh! I’ve no words to describe this tremendous little dosa kitchen. The dosas were made with so much love and grace that it just filled my heart♥️ within 3days of our stay in Christchurch,we went there twice . The staffs were very friendly & courteous. We tried Mysore Masala dosa, butter Masala dosa ,egg dosa and ghee roast. All were super crispy and gorgeous. Loved their tomato chutney, mmm mouthwatering !😋 I definitely look forward to visiting them again when in town .
I tried the Mysore masala dosa. The crepe's texture and flavor were impressive. However, the filling lacked depth in taste unless paired with the accompanying sauce. Overall, it's slightly above par, but I wouldn't strongly recommend it. As for the service, the cashier was notably expressive in a good way so I had a good experience.

This place was pretty much the only thing on my to-do list on our roadtrip to Chch from Nelson, where there really isn't any consistent South Indian food at all. I meant to take a picture of my Mysore Masala Dosa but I ate it before I remembered. So worth it, thank you so much!
Delicious, authentic Indian meals, and Vegan too, all in a busy shopping marketplace. The masala Chai tea was as good as any upscale Indian restaurant I've been to!
Very friendly and efficient service and good flavour. Dosa was 5 star, coconut chutney was amazing.
However, the curries were a bit meh, tomato base which needed more kick. Made for euro customers which I guess makes sense!
I ordered Masala Dosa, parata and Kadhai chicken curry . It was the best Kadhai chicken curry ever !!! Dosas were really crispy and amazing presentation with few different chutney.
Staff was so nice and friendly too. Dosa Kitchen is one of the best restaurants in Riverside market and recommending for anyone who would love that best Indian food experience!!👍
