These guys have great beers on tap, a garden bar, and a really nice ambiance. The only real criticism I have is that given its proximity to the uni, they would do a lot more business if they offered more affordable lunches. I often pass it up knowing that better value can be had elsewhere. Can't comment too much on the food, other than the wedges were good?
As nostalgia kicks in, thought of reviewing Eureka today. This place was a regular hangout during University days. I am not sure if they still serve the Venison which was a favorite and used to wash it down with an ice cold Speights Ale. If memory serves me correctly this place was run and owned by the Chef himself. Purveyors of good food, used to be the placard on the wall back in the day and rightly so.
Ordered a brownie $6 with yogurt. . It was delish! My friend ordered the banoffee pie.. i thought that was fantastic too.. however she wasn't too impressed by it. . maybe it was the price ..around $13.
Comfy and nice setting. Very sweet and hits the sugar craving.
