Well lit venue with plenty of seats and a decent amount of space behind you between tables. That being said though, would still recommend booking in advance anyway.
Very polite and attentive staff, you'll get service faster and with less hassle than you would other Chinese restaurants.
Food is excellent even the oily dishes aren't so heavy. It's on the pricier end but a fair cost for the quality of party of flavours dancing in your mouth. Recommend their shark fin fried rice and beef with more mushrooms.
Found this gem early this year and one of the best yum cha the city has to offer. Unlike establishments in the city, Mr Lobster offers it’s guest a wonderful variety of yum cha that’s freshly prepared, full of flavour and generous with quality ingredients used (not loaded with carbs just to fill you up!). Even the tea that’s served has generous tea leaves that doesn’t make it watered down even after 4-5 top ups - what a treat compared to many other Chinese restaurants we’ve been to.
Every dish was immaculate - was hard to pick a favourite!! We were a part of 4 and food ordered was more than sufficient - even with some left over for take away. Be sure to book beforehand to secure a table - they do 2 seatings at 1030 or 12 on Saturday
Slightly more expensive than other joints, a meal here is still very much worth it as it nourishing and filling. Great service too, restaurant is clean.
The staff members are friendly, patience, and accommodating. Their food are unique. Some have stunning designs, and all are flavourful. So far is the most expensive yum char in Auckland, especially their signature dishes; but it's made to impress your eyes as well as your taste buds. They also have yum char dishes that are priced competitively, but still full of flavours. A new favourite yum char place for my family.
